3. City puts a stop to homeless outreach
Couple must have proper permit to continue feeding dozens each dayThat ended two weeks ago when the city shut down their "Feed a Friend" effort for lack of a permit. And city officials say the couple most likely will not be able to obtain one."We don't really know what they want, we just think that they don't want us down there feeding people," said Bobby Herring, a Christian rapper who goes by the stage name Tre9.
Anyone serving food for public consumption, whether for the homeless or for sale, must have a permit, said Kathy Barton, a spokeswoman for the Health and Human Services Department. To get that permit, the food must be prepared in a certified kitchen with a certified food manager.

6. Kansas City and $2 billion wasted
In 1985 a Federal judge ordered the state of Missouri and the district containing Kansas City to enforce desegregation, build new schools, and bring its low educational levels up to better standards, with the amount of money they would have to pay set at $2 billion dollars over 12 years. During this period $11,700 per pupil was spent, in addition to "higher teachers' salaries, 15 new schools, and such amenities as an Olympic-sized swimming pool with an underwater viewing room, television and animation studios, a robotics lab, a 25-acre wildlife sanctuary, a zoo, a model United Nations with simultaneous translation capability, and field trips to Mexico and Senegal"[27] among other things. The results today: no rise in test scores, failed integration, a loss of accreditation in 2000, a complete failure to meet all of Missouri's performance standards, and a shortfall of $52 million dollars in the budget...which would force the closing of 29 of its 61 schoolsLiberal stupidity - Conservapedia

Read, and Decide If We Need Courts...

If we did not have courts, where would we play basketball?

All boils down to liberals' mistaken belief that they can change human behavior by passing a law or issuing a decree.

Isn't that the whole point of laws? To stop people from doing things?

The crux of this argument is whether or not there is a 'human nature," either it is innate, or open to human manipulation.

1. The Constitution commemorates our revolution, and, as Madison states in the ‘Federalist,’ is the greatest of all reflections on human nature…human beings are not angels.”
a. Humans are not perfectible, but are capable of self government. The republican form of government presupposes this idea of humans. Our government is not a controlling government, but must itself be controlled: by the Constitution.

b. Communist Revolution is based on the idea of transforming human nature. “The New Soviet man or New Soviet person (Russian: новый советский человек), as postulated by the ideologists of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, was an archetype of a person with certain qualities that were said to be emerging as dominant among all citizens of the Soviet Union, irrespective of the country's long-standing cultural, ethnic, and linguistic diversity, creating a single Soviet people, Soviet nation.[1]

Leon Trotsky wrote in his Literature and Revolution [2] :
"The human species, the sluggish Homo sapiens, will once again enter the stage of radical reconstruction and become in his own hands the object of the most complex methods of artificial selection and psychophysical training... Man will make it his goal...to create a higher sociobiological type, a superman, if you will"

c. “Culture is a stubborn opponent. The Soviet Union attempted to create the New Soviet Man with gulags, psychiatric hospitals, and firing squads for seventy years and succeeded only in producing a more corrupt culture.” Bork, “Slouching Toward Gomorrah,” p. 198

d. Progressives have a similar view: human nature is plastic; politics is a means of perfecting man!

e. In 1969, Hillary Rodham gave the student commencement address at Wellesley in which she said that “ for too long our leaders have used politics as the art of making what appears to be impossible, possible….We’re not interested in social reconstruction; it’s human reconstruction
