We added 1.47 trillion to the debt to get these results...that is pretty cheap money.

Yes so revenues aren’t the issue it is expenses.

Always has been. But cutting expenses will be felt in the economy, and no politician is willing to take that hit

Eh? 28mil sit on Medicaid. Bullshit. A lot of fraud. Raise the retirement age to 75

Agree there is a lot of fraud, just like there is with food stamps and the DOD.

75 is insane, life expectancy is only 79. Feel free to work till you die, I am not playing that fucking game

72? 65 is the wrong number IMO

Yes and more fraud prevention to your point and more scrutiny on illegals and such.

Right now for anyone my age it is 67. I think that is a good number/

you parrot talking points you are given from your party masters. you can never back up nor support a single thing you post.
You are fighting the greatest economic time in our history and only getting better

2.9% annual GDP growth is the greatest economic time in our history?

I was very happy till Jan 2018 when Trump started his stupid fucking trade war and brought the financial markets to a screeching halt. Right now they are about equal with where they were 430 days ago.

Can’t you retire early and collect partial SSI?

I think so, will decide when I get close if it is worth it or not. Also where the rest of my investments and 401ks are sitting. This past 430 days of stagnation has not helped much.

Since I do not worship the government, I do not think the government controls the economy. I want the government to get the fuck out of the way. But that is something you will never understand, your whole life revolves around worshiping the government and its leader.

so you think a shrinking economy and huge debt is better? thats what we got from obozo the kenyan messiah, your hero.

No, huge debt is never good. It is not unexpected during a recession, but it should be avoided at all cost during a "booming" economy".

If we added a trillion dollars in a year to the debt during a booming economy with near record tax revenue...what the fuck happens when the next down turn happens?

This is like someone taking out massive debt when they are getting a lot of overtime and bringing in extra money...then they get laid off and instead of a savings they have massive debt. That is what our country is doing and you are cheering it on.

we agree on all of that. As far as running up the debt Obama was the worst in history. Trump is trying to reverse that trend but the dems in the house keep adding spending in an effort to buy 2020 votes. Why are you unable to see this as it really is?

LOL "reverse that trend"?

Trend under Obama was DEFICIT REDUCTION, which turned into DEFICIT GROWTH with Trump in office.

Is that the trend reversal you mean?

Aside from correlations, on pure policy:

With 1.5T dollar tax-cuts and more military spending Trump has ALREADY blown at least 500 Billion bigger budget hole than Obama did if we don't count extension of Bush's tax-cuts.

That's with "best economy ever!!!" and FULL REPUBLICAN MAJORITIES FOR 2 YEARS, so please STFU about Democrats.

On average the market is supposed to return approx 8% per year and we ve been closer to 12-13% since 2010. Not terrible and you’re still relatively young so keep dollar cost averaging. But we all need to sacrifice for our kids and I think entitlements must be attacked. I d start with fraud with Medicaid, SSI, welfare, etc.

Revenues aren’t the issue. Expenses are.

Get your pen and paper out - time for a simple budget formula you ought to know by now:

Deficit = Revenues - Expenses

For 2018 revenues are down ~$200 Billion when adjusted for normal growth and inflation - How the fuck is that not an issue?

Any moron could have made wages rise when they're sucking on the govt tit to the tune of 5 trillion in four years. Any moron could have done that.

So why are you kissing Trump’s ass when he added 1.47 trillion in one year?

Sent from my iPhone using USMessageBoard.com

You forgot QE. Yeah, trump is adding debt but not receiving QE 1, 2, 3 etc. You could have grown the economy, seriously.

We all do know don the con created fewer jobs in his first 2 years than Obama did in his last 2?
Our trumpies just can't read graphs

Thats incorrect. Trump - 4.9million first two years, O- 4.7million last two years.

You are mistaken.

2015-2016 - 5,047,000 jobs created.
2017-2018 - 4,832,000 jobs created.

Bureau of Labor Statistics Data

Thanks for the correction. I was looking at numbers from dec 2018.

$200bil is a pittance when compared to our expenses that lead to a trillion dollar deficit. One could argue that the revenue decline is short term as the economy is cranking but expenses are too high even if revenues were $500bn higher. Want to compare resumes? I am Happy to with you. Don’t need your snarky comments.

Revenues aren’t the issue. Expenses are.

Get your pen and paper out - time for a simple budget formula you ought to know by now:

Deficit = Revenues - Expenses

For 2018 revenues are down ~$200 Billion when adjusted for normal growth and inflation - How the fuck is that not an issue?

$200bil is a pittance when compared to our expenses that lead to a trillion dollar deficit. One could argue that the revenue decline is short term as the economy is cranking but expenses are too high even if revenues were $500bn higher. Want to compare resumes? I am Happy to with you. Don’t need your snarky comments.

...200 Billion was about 25% of our deficit for the calendar year. Pittance? You are insane.

Yes, that is not the only factor, no one said it was, and neither was Obama's stimulus when it passed in the middle of Great Recession. But this extra round of tax-cuts in the middle of solid economic expansion have made our already bad fiscal shape that much worse.

The president you support the joke said it him self! Under his leadership we would never see 3% gdp, under his leadership we will never see manufacturing again.. then trump came and showed what a real leader looks like..

Again obama the jokes OWN WORDS.. of course it’s because of trump

I think Obama is the second worst POTUS of all time, I think Trump is doing a better job than Obama. So, can you move past the obligatory Obama comments and focus on the topic at hand?

Nothing has changed under Trump, we still have not seen 3% annual GDP growth and manufacturing as adding jobs before he took office.

And yet he is spending more money that Obama every dreamed of spending.

Booming debt during a booming economy is begging for an economic collapse

While expenses are the bigger issue, cutting revenue is not helpful, would you not agree?

Every leader is sent from God if you believe the Bible. Be it Obama or Trump or Putin or Un or any one else.
