What the flip is PIV? I had to look it up. PIV= Penis In Vagina AKA sex or intercourse.

This self-proclaimed "radical feminist" has decided that sex or PIV as she calls it, and I guess others do too, is proclaiming sex is always rape, even if consensual.

Just to recall a basic fact: Intercourse/PIV is always rape, plain and simple.

This is a developed recap from what I’ve been saying in various comments here and there in the last two years or so. as a radfem I’ve always said PIV is rape and I remember being disappointed to discover that so few radical feminists stated it clearly. How can you possibly see it otherwise? Intercourse is the very means through which men oppress us, from which we are not allowed to escape, yet some instances of or PIV and intercourse may be chosen and free? That makes no sense at all.

LOL I suppose so, but reading her articles it seems she would not be interested in any sex and says that she has yet to be cleansed from the PIV she had experienced in the past and will never get over them.

ok so this is like saying all life is suffering.
that humans don't have perfect free will.
sure you can complain that all things cause pain or inconvenience to other livimg things.
as buddhist monks point out, we cant breathe air without killing microbes.

the point is not perfection in the sense of escaping all pain or suffering and conflict.
the point is to live in balance and neither impose excess suffering or pleasure
at the expense of natural health and harmony in life.

sounds like for everyone who sees sex as pleasure period, as expression of freedom
or love or life,
theres this person who sees it as pain and abuse of free will to oppress others.
that also speakes to balance in life, to avoid either extreme
and dont abuse sex for either unnatural pleasure or unnatural pain. this woman
happens to land at the opposite end of the spectrum. to balance others likewise.

ppl are free when we respect each other despite our worst differences and conflicts
it's not about physical equality but spiritual equality and political inclusion

even to govern by consensus requires give and take, mutually, which still isnt perfect
of course we impose on each other, then negotiate terms of agreement from there.
just being human. nobody is perfect we are going to overstep bounds on others until we learn from experience how to work around differences in expectations. no big deal.

If people are free when we respect each other, then making the claim that men are raping women and or oppressing them, when having consensual sex, is far from respect IMO.

You know...................this is just like any other radical who has had a bad experience with something and thinks that everyone should adopt their views. Apparently, this woman had a bad experience with sex and now thinks that everyone should quit having sex because it's "oppressive".

Carrie Nation had a bad experience with alcohol, because her first husband was a severe alcoholic, which is why she supported prohibition.

Just because one person has a bad experience, doesn't mean that everyone will.
