I have a question...Is race a social construct where dogs are concerned?
Dogs are all one species...they can all interbreed...but they all have groups of different dogs that are the equivalent of races in the human population. Races of dogs. Race is interchangeable with breed, but in the human world the denotation of breed is connotative to being an animal and thus frowned upon. Like we use race to distinguish between groups of humans...and we use breed to distinguish between groups of animals.....but we do that merely to ensure we make the separation between "us and them".
I need someone to discuss this with.
Legit question.
