While going through the news about Dallas Chicago came up a lot and there appears to be three interrelated problems:

The city is broke so when offered a chance by BLM to concentrate Police and to a lesser degree other services in high tax revenue districts the mayor jumped at the opportunity.

Police protection consists of tag and bag with no investigation in poor neighborhoods while being first rate in wealthier neighborhoods.

Jobs and businesses are moving out of the ever higher crime rate.areas.

City services in such areas are getting hard to man

So, it is only a matter of time until fire, ambulance and even utility services will become past history. The question is how much time? .

Not long, areas along the border have no protection and some inner city areas have no mail service.

Maybe these city governments should do exactly what these 'activists want, and abandon their downtowns and 'hoods altogether. Let BLM, these Back Panthers, drug gangs, and black politicians who work for them run the place like a true Libertarian Paradise; just let the big corps and their insurance companies worry about their own properties, field their own private armies, and wall off those areas, instead of milking taxpayers across their entire counties to pay for somebody else's problems.

You seem to have the first half right and the second half wrong politicians do protect those who pay taxes as protection money.
