Hard-liners opposed to any improved contact with Washington made their objections clear as several dozen protesters chanting "Death to America" tried to block his motorcade in Tehran. The semiofficial Mehr news agency reported that at least one demonstrator hurled a shoe — a common gesture of contempt in the Middle East — in Rouhani's direction. Other reports said eggs were thrown at his car.

President Hassan Rouhani was greeted by eggs and a shoe as his motorcade drove through the crowds at Tehran’s Mehrabad Airport. Hard-liners, many from Iran’s Revolutionary Guard, have protested Rouhani’s willingness to engage in talks with the West about Iran’s nuclear program.

“Death to America” and “Death to Israel"......... its what they said............ surprise surprise! me thinks somebody is not happy in Tehran.... they want their baby, they want their bomb. u can't touch that.
