Progressivism is incompatible with life

Everything about the progressive ideology (the victim mentality, the promotion of promiscuity, the facilitation of abortion, the refusal to take personal responsibility, the entitlement, the rejection of God, the demonization of success, etc.) is incompatible with life.
Ask yourself this question: Is a black child likely to grow up happy if he is told by his parents, his teachers, his political leaders, and all his media that society largely hates him? Of course not. Raising a black child to regard America as racist and oppressive all but guarantees an unhappy black adult.
The progressive ideology is breeding a resentful, miserable, unhappy following. Which explains the violence, the tearing down of monuments, and the perpetual aggravation of the left.

The promotion of promiscuity?
Really?
When your leader is spending hundreds of thousands paying off porn stars after sweaty nights of unprotected sex?

The nerve.

Yes, we are all obligated to view it the way you do, never mind the fact that that has NEVER been the interpretation of the 2nd Amendment, and even your otherwise-precious Supreme Court says you're wrong.
Which case?

Aaaand you're done. Either you're trying to drag this down a tangent so that you can obscure with nitpicking and deflections, or you're genuinely that stupid. Either way, you have nothing of substance to contribute.
Is that an admission that the SCOTUS has never said gun ownership is an absolute and unregulated right?

Nice try at goalpost-moving, but that wasn't your original point, so it wasn't what I responded to.

Yes it is my point. Start passing common sense gun legislation and if you keep using the 2nd Amendment as justification not to pass restrictions on guns, you could wake up one day to find the constitution amended. Compromise before it is too late.

LOL, just put a sock in it little girl. As a cowed, docile Canadian who has been trained over the decades to submit to whatever your Government tells you to submit to you are the epitome of what America abhors, a sheep in a pen who still "needs" her Queen.

So, the last 57 years of “compromising” (read surrendering our rights) has not been enough and you demand more infringement of our rights? No thank you!

The Constitution is absolutely clear about the people's right to keep and bear arms, and about government being forbidden from infringing the right. When a court rules that government is allowed to infringe that right, this is an act of lawlessness and criminality on the part of that court.

The constitution is absolutely clear about owning slaves being legal, and counting them as only 3/5 of a person. You whining about that too?

No, it is not. The three-fifth thing is barely an acknowledgment of slavery, not an endorsement nor affirmation thereof.

The Constitution was not at all clear in any way about slavery, until the Thirteenth, Fourteenth, and Fifteenth Amendments were ratified, to bring about the end of slavery and to establish equal citizenship for those who were formerly enslaved.

If the Constitution were clear on guns there would be less chance that it would go before the Court. As these boards show, however, there are numerous interpretations of the Second Amendment, and it will probably go before the Courts again, and as the Court has done in the past it will define the Second Amendment, perhaps for eons to come and in favor of the population at large.

The Second Amendment is absolutely clear.

It states a purpose, names a right, identifies this right as belonging to the people, and forbids this right from being infringed.

We have courts hearing cases, and making rulings, asb to which infringements of this right are to be allowed, and who is to be allowed to impose these infringements. This is corruption and lawlessness. The question was settled in 1791, with the ratification of the Second Amendment, which states that the right in question, “…shall not be infringed.” Period. End of sentence. No infringements of this right are allowed, under the Second Amendment. Every act of government which interferes or seeks to interfere with the exercise of this right is an act of criminality and corruption.

The supreme court has already ruled that the changes in gun laws listed in that post are allowed by the constitution. No constitutional amendments needed.

The Supreme Court does not have the authority to override the Constitution, though it has illegally usurped that power, and we, as a nation, have foolishly allowed them to get away with it.

Why was the clause put in the document? Let's find out how much you think you know.

"According to liberals, the message of Jesus is something along the lines of "be nice to people" (which to them means "raise taxes on the productive").

You don't need a religion like Christianity, which is a rather large and complex endeavor, in order to flag that message. All you need is a moron driving around in a Volvo with a bumper sticker that says "be nice to people." Being nice to people is, in fact, one of the incidental tenets of Christianity. But to call it the "message" of Jesus requires ... well, the brain of Maureen Dowd.

In fact, Jesus' distinctive message was: People are sinful and need to be redeemed, and this is your lucky day because I'm here to redeem you even though you don't deserve it, and I have to get the crap kicked out of me to do it. That is the reason He is called "Christ the Redeemer" rather than "Christ the Moron Driving Around in a Volvo With a 'Be Nice to People' Bumper Sticker on It."" - Ann Coulter

Being "a true Christian" is about your relationship with God, not whether or not other humans - particularly non-believers - think you are "nice".

The fact that it is there is all that matters.

Nope, but you tell yourself that to make yourself feel better.
First, without the compromise there is no Constitution.
Second, Representation is determined by population. Had the Southern States not agreed to the 3/5ths part of the deal the South would have ruled the Congress for an indeterminate amount of time. Your education is lacking.

What should we think about members here who change their name after being exposed as a dumbass?
lol

Well considering that’s how the U.S. Constitution was designed to function, how the fuck is that a threat, snowflake? :uhh:

Compromise before it is too late.
Sorry snowflake...real Americans don’t “compromise” on their rights. They are far too precious and far too many people died to secure them. What a shame that you have such little regard for their sacrifice.

...and the Constitution no longer recognizes slavery or any person's being only 3/5 so. Amendments have a way of adding to or changing provisions in the body of the Constitution.

News Flash! Women can vote now. It is their constitutional privilege.
