Porn's Good For You Too

(1) Porn devalues sex to nothing more than two people seeking to maximize their physical pleasure. Any concept of "relationship" is totally absent. From the male perspective this is entirely fine and dandy. From a human perspective, not so much. It reduces humans to the level of barnyard animals.

(2) Compare conventional actors and actresses with porn performers. Conventional actors and acresses are PRETENDING to do what they are portrayed as doing, even if it is having sex. Porn performers are ACTUALLY DOING IT. Which is more "authentic"?

(3) The key to the success of porn - the reason why it is so appealing to men - is that in porn, the women (pretend to) have the same attitude about sex that men normally have: They love it and want to make the most of it from the word go. As contrasted with real life, where women are reluctant participants until the action starts getting good, when they finally get a bit of enthusiasm for what's going on. It is a man's dream come true: a woman who unapologetically likes to - and wants to - fuck.

(4) By comparison, this is why homosexuals are so "promiscuous" (at least they were before the AIDS pandemic). You have both participants in an encounter who both want the same thing, ab initio. Hence there is no need to convince your partner that it would be a good idea to copulate; the other person already agrees.

3's a major assumption and completely wrong. Women arguably desire sex MORE than men. Used to put bromide in women's water to curtail their sex drives while sewing. Rhythmic motion of the pedals (in use at the time) was thought to be too stimulating.

"Bromide was used to suppress women's sex drive in the 1950s."
The Bromide Dominance Theory

And let's not forget the good ol' chastity belt. Far more common to control a woman's desire for sex than male version's.

Like everything else that induces pleasure, there is a high incidence of addiction. Porn addicts are generally unable to have sex normally.

I have seen a lot of porn, really, a tremendous amount of porn and it all looks like maggots crawling over some moldy cheese to me.

lol Katz why do you watch tremendous amounts of porn if it does nothing for you? women are actually watching porn on the same levels as men now.

For one thing, I had a husband and several boyfriends that thought porn was stimulating. For another, when I had my law office, I had many many porn stars and porn site owners. I evaluated every one of those sites myself. Now that I have neither a man aggravating me nor the office I don't even think about it unless some one brings it up. I have no objections to porn generally, but personally it is excruciatingly boring.

If you really watch "tremendous amounts" and "it all looks like maggots crawling over some moldy cheese to me", and you consider sex "a man aggravating [you]", you are definitely doing it wrong.

But, as usual, you have to throw in the "lawyer" lie and blame someone else for your problems.

Keep washing those dogs though because at least, that's not as freaky and downright funny as this latest story of yours. From your posts, I'd say you have found your place in this world.

As to the OP, I think porn used to be better because it wasn't so readily available to the wrong audience. I think it probably gives young people the wrong set of expectations. What kids used to learn from their peers wasn't any more accurate but so much of what's online is not what people actually do in real life. The competition is fierce so producers are going for freakier and weirder and more extreme.

@katzendogz might want to think about that. Or not.

This is the core reason for men fearing women's sexuality and for putting forth the untruth that women don't desire sex as much as men.

I closed that pet grooming salon when I retired three years ago and went back to legal consulting. I no longer represent porn sites although I did for a good many years. Since it's no longer a business requirement I need no longer concern myself with having to watch. What kind of porn do you like? Scat maybe. That sounds like your style.

What is puzzling is the reaction to someone that says porn is boring. Is this a liberal heresy or something? There is an undercurrent of fear there. What is so frightening about someone who finds porn boring? What belief system is so shaken? It's not as if I would want to pass a law to ban porn. It's a personal enjoyment. So what exactly is it about the choice to decline that is so disturbing?

I am not a spectator in life or in the bedroom. I certainly did not need porn to teach me how to pleasure a woman, doing so is based on each woman's needs or desires. I spent time with each woman rather than treat her like some one who gets paid to perform. Porn is not sex education, it is entertainment and any fool who thinks they will become more knowledgeable about satisfying their partner by watching some heavy breathers have "sex" accompanied by some strange guitar music is mistaken. Nothing substitutes being in the flesh and exploring with your partner.

Was a doc on History or one of the doc channels about sex in Victorian times. Mentioned how tablecloths came about. Seems the legs of a table were overly-arrousing for men, so they started 'hiding them' with a table cloth. Legs supposedly reminding men of women's legs.

I've been really horny often, but never so horny tables looked good. :)

Looking it up, seems I forgot the 'myth' part :)

"Even table legs were hidden with tablecloths and embroidery, according to a common myth, and though this myth has not been proven, it was used as a symbol for the extremism of the Victorian era (Trollop, 1832, pg 17)."
