Pompeo says State Dept. officials won’t show up for scheduled impeachment depositions this week

He's not worried
He, of course, is, thus the stonewalling.
Epic Fail...

No official investigation... Nothing to respond to... IE: Not worried..
This is not what 'not worried' looks like. Not worried would be total laughing compliance...and amusement as the the Committee tried to prove a nothing burger.

Stonewalling makes it look like 'something'--and the committee is not going away.

Yes they are going away in about 14 months. Pompeo can easily wait them out.
Nothing they can do about it.

Jo

The question is "what can congress do about it?".
How about they start doing their jobs and stop wasting all this time and money?

the house has passed several bills starting on day one, including strengthening gun laws, lowering drug costs, re-instating the voting rights act among many MANY others.

sent them over to moscow mitch who refuses to bring ANY of them to the floor. research it yerself, dimbulb.

You have no official impeachment investigation... Until the house votes for one you have nothing... And no one need respond to deposition demands.

Well actually all of them do have something.
They all have their stiff dicks in their hands and an awful sloppy mess all the way up to their wrists. But that's about it.

Google 'Contempt of Congress'---

No official investigation..
Other than an official impeachment inquiry.

But, yeah! Other than that....

You forget that requires the house to vote on it. And it has not..
Ooh, sorry, wrong again. Too much AM radio for you.
I see you ignore the Laws just like Nancy does... Epic Fail..
Yeah, you already said that, crybaby. We heard you the first eleventy times.

You're the one who short on research.
Every one of those bills is full of poison pills.

Then they could vote them down and explain why, and come out looking good.

So, your fantasy spin seems...contrived.

I am hard-pressed to defend deep state career professionals at the State Department. These are the same people who allowed Clinton to hold onto a secret server, not turn in required documents when she left office, and only complied when it became clear they were in legal jeopardy. Getting information from them is like pulling teeth without a numbing agent.

Given all that, Pompeo should require them to bring specific charges and detail the issues that will be on the table. Specifically, what topics will be discussed and what will be off-limits. Until he gets these assurances, he can just claim executive privilege as an advisor to the President.

He's smart. He will wait till all the evidence one way or another is in.

Only a lefty loon like you would call that stone walling.
ROTF! Calling me a lefty is sure sign of ignorance.
As for ignorance...he is not going to wait for all the evidence when he is PART of the evidence!

Stonewalling I said..and stonewalling I meant. Not that I believe for a moment that he will be successful.

I would think that this is at the order of Pompeo's boss..the President.
Right

Ridiculous bullshit! Why don't enforce laws already in force?

Nah....McConnell has already said a dozen times he's not going to waste Senate time on bills that have obviously been authored to fail. Besides they're way too busy packing the courts right now.
