I don't have to read the article because I know that the polls did not predict who would win the election. The polls only measure who would win the popular vote.

Rasmussen may be overestimating Trump's support. The 2016 election model may be the wrong one to use. Both Clinton and Trump were hated so the winner was someone the voters hated least. A late poll showed that Romney would defeat Clinton and Obama would beat Trump. 2 special elections have shown that Democrats are more energized that Republicans at this point in time.
