The survey was released by the nonprofit San Francisco-based Asia Foundation and it indicates that the support for Taliban among Afghans has steadily decreased – tolonews . com /en/afghanistan/4425-taliban-support-declining-among-afghans-poll

Personally do not consider the report to be depicting any true positive changes, absolutely. I say, once again Americans are trying to console themselves and to create fantastic illusions round their recent useless existence in Afghanistan. Practically the report signs and confirms the fact that in Afghanistan people are afraid of the Taliban and its activity’s recent raise over the country – terrorists are attacking civilians moreover have used to commit their attacks significantly tough and more frequent. At the back of that absolute omission on behalf of the US army contingent and the Afghani authorities, the Taliban terror activity is alive and rather well-doing.

AP: Pakistani Taliban splintering into factions
Battered by Pakistani military operations and U.S. drone strikes, the once-formidable Pakistani Taliban has splintered into more than 100 smaller factions, weakened and running short of cash, according to security officials, analysts and tribesmen from the insurgent heartland.

The group, allied with al-Qaida and based in the northwest close to the Afghan border, has been behind much of the violence tearing apart Pakistan over the last 4 1/2 years...

The first signs of cracks within the Pakistani Taliban appeared after its leader, Baitullah Mehsud, was killed in a drone strike in August 2009, Mahsud said. Since then, the group has steadily deteriorated.

I am sure all the intel we gathered in the Osama raid is helping us rip them apart.
