I like the intensity of the US street rap. It's morphed into what it is today and I appreciate it more today. Will Smith showed that Rap is about a state and street rap is about the inner city which is as spirited, vigorous and energetic as it can be in order to counter what the dissatisfaction is about.

I quite like Rap as an expression. :)

Sorry to fans of rap, but I really don't like it or even consider it to be music. About the only time I listen to it is when the asshole across the street has it blaring on his car stereo when he drives by. That said, each to their own.

I went to a concert and they played this! LOL...............

I don't accept rap as music. People that study and learn and work hard know subtly, and discipline and know what the heart of art IS, they know what a fraud rap is. I have heard the rationale. If you are black and can rhyme, kudos. Get a cheap Japanese keyboard with pre programed beats, and a agent, you are a superstar. Roll over, Beethoven. BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM. It's often mistaken for talent.

Rap may be art, like Death metal or Ambient music. It is a tad extreme. But our culture has taken RAP far beyond any redeeming merits it may have had. When I hear a commercial for a mainstream insurance company using RAP music in the background, I know RAP has been co-opted, and I can't take it seriously if they need Ice T or LL CoolJ to make it "respectable", something isn't right.
