Political Expert Larry Sabato. The Dems will get Shellacked in 2014.

Reminds me of a little ditty I heard once ...

Dream, dream, dream, dream
Dream, dream, dream, dream
When I want you in my arms
When I want you and all your charms
Whenever I want you, all I have to do is
Dream, dream, dream, dream

Single payer will NEVER happen in the USA. Thanks to Obamacare, the entire leftist agenda is dead.

The reactionary left has taken the failed path of legislative socialism. The process is slow but it is failing. 19th-20th century progressivism is marked for extinction.

  • The S&P downgrade
  • There is a Record Number of American Receiving Food Stamp Benefits
  • Our National Debt level increasing at an increasing rate

We will or have reached a tipping point where
the leftists will not be able to deliver on their 'bag of goods" that
they have sold the American people.

What tools do we have left?
- interest rates are low as they can go to go any good
- we can't tax anyone enough without crashing the economy
- how much can we debt spend since we are broke
- the radical left can't allow true reforms to entitlements which limit the state's role

Traditionally, the progressive movement following the advice of past Socialist Party leaders like Presidential candidate Eugene Debs, has tried to legislate our way to it and with the help of Democrats and RINOs, they have tried to move the country left in hope of a socialist utopia; but it is failing.

The ACA is seriously flawed since it embraces the same profit driven model that resulted in the medical cost crisis that still exists to this day. The problem is that politicians are basically cowards and will tinker around the edges of the ACA rather than replacing it with single payer. The reason for this is because if they kick the can down the road the baby boomers will end up in the Medicare single payer system anyway and the HMO's will continue to make profits off the backs of hardworking Americans. Scrapping the ACA is unlikely and the "tinkering" won't alter the flawed fundamentals. It is going to take another crisis in about 2 decades before anyone takes an axe to the profit driven business model of healthcare.

True.

If republicans were indeed serious about ‘getting rid’ of the ACA, they need only endorse implementing a single payer system.

The ACA would be gone in a heartbeat.

Question: Why didn't Obama call for a single payer system? Why aren't any Dems calling for a single payer system now?

Answer: They're getting paid off by Big Pharma, Insurance shits like Aetna and Wellpoint, and by doctor and hospital associations. Wake up, man. Do you really think the Dems give a crap about the common man? They care about two things. Money # 1. Your vote # 2. I will never understand why seemingly intelligent people can be so blindly partisan.

***edit***

I know you won't respond to this. Your partisanship won't allow it. I know it's nothing personal...it is just where you're at. :(

So who do you recommend we elect?

It is not my place to tell anyone how to vote. I usually hold my nose and vote for the person I think will do the least damage. I have probably voted fairly equally for Republicans and Democrats over the years. I do not like the hardcore political right social agenda...at all. I think it's nuts. But I also do not like the Democrats blatant pandering and fear mongering to different racial and ethnic groups. It is deeply cynical in my opinion, it divides people, and it is bad for America. So I guess you could say I'm conflicted. Therefore, I hold my nose and vote for the candidate that I hope will screw things up the least.

women and minorities want freedom as much as anyone else, maybe more.

15 trillion spent on social programs and the Great Society since 1965
this is all the reactionary left and their failed programs have to show

Worse than apartheid: Black in Obama's American

Black South Africans under apartheid had a median net worth about 6.8% that of white South Africans.

The average white household iin the US has a net worth of $110,729.
Black Americans’ median net worth is less than 5 percent that of white Americans.

$4,955 to be exact

h/t Kevin D. Williamson

Why is it Left when at the same time the wealth disparity between the upper class and the rest of the Whites has expanded to the largest gap in 100 years. The direct correlation that caused this is that money wasted on unfit Blacks should have been spent on the fittest of the unprivileged Whites instead. This false-flag scheme is like telling a high-school coach he has to spend all his time trying to improve those he had to cut from the team and let those with talent to make the team practice on their own or even forbid them from practicing. The guillotine-fodder Snob Mob has this attitude that any White who didn't climb into their class is a natural-born loser. That's the hidden message in calling Blacks "underprivileged."

Larry Sabato, a political scientist at the University of Virginia, is one of the most renowned political experts in the Country...accurately predicting Obama would win in 2012, and accurately predicting every Presidential election over the last 30 years. His record regarding mid-term elections is among the best of anyone in the Nation. Here is what he says about the upcoming mid-term election in 2014.

"You look at the 17 days of the shutdown and compare that to how many days we’re gonna be watching these critical ObamCare rollout stories -- something tells me the critical stories about ObamaCare rollout are going to last a lot longer than 17 days," University of Virginia Professor Larry Sabato said.

He said 2014 will be worse for Democrats and the administration. "That sixth-year election tends to unite the opposition because there are so many vulnerable spots for the incumbent president’s party, that's what brings them back together. There's nothing like the smell of victory in a lot of different places to pull a coalition together," Sabato said.

Larry also predicted Obama would win Virginia in 2012, which was one of the closest races in the Country. He is not an overt partisan. If I were a Dem, I would take what he says very seriously.

I'm curious. Republicans are 90% white. Where is the "coalition"?

What your stat implies incorrectly is that everyone else is democrat. A majority of whites are Republican, a majority of blacks are democrat. For every other major group, a majority or at least a plurality of voters are independent.

Let the Left the stew in the mess they made...

LA Times: Some health insurance gets pricier as Obamacare rolls out

Thousands of Californians are discovering what Obamacare will cost them — and many don't like what they see.

These middle-class consumers are staring at hefty increases on their insurance bills as the overhaul remakes the healthcare market. Their rates are rising in large part to help offset the higher costs of covering sicker, poorer people who have been shut out of the system for years.

Fullerton resident Jennifer Harris thought she had a great deal, paying $98 a month for an individual plan through Health Net Inc.

Now Harris, a self-employed lawyer, must shop for replacement insurance. The cheapest plan she has found will cost her $238 a month. She and her husband don't qualify for federal premium subsidies because they earn too much money, about $80,000 a year combined.

Pam Kehaly, president of Anthem Blue Cross in California, said she received a recent letter from a young woman complaining about a 50% rate hike related to the healthcare law.

"She said, 'I was all for Obamacare until I found out I was paying for it,'" Kehaly said.

Nearly 2 million Californians have individual insurance, and several hundred thousand of them are losing their health plans in a matter of weeks.

Blue Shield of California sent termination letters to 119,000 customers last month whose plans don't meet the new federal requirements. About two-thirds of those people will experience a rate increase from switching to a new health plan, according to the company.

and what will reid/pelosi/obama say when they start hearing stories about Americans who died waiting for an operation being the hospitals were so backed up with patients after Obama care kicked in? (being 30 million people were added into the system).

Actually I can't wait for December 1-7 when we still have no working web-sight, and if they ever fix it, it crashes again when 42 people try to sign on simutaneously.

You have to love how the left and Papa Obama apologists
had to lower the bar

-Just wait till Obama care kicks in
to
-Just wait until the website is working

Lowered expectations for extreme leftist programs
is the only way to make them look they are working

Of course, they can fix a website
but they can't fix the lies
