How many people who denounced Bush's Patriot Act as unconstitutional
defend Obama's health reforms as promoting general welfare?

How many people who denounce Obama's health reforms as unconstitutional
justified Bush's policies as necessary to secure national defense?

(where I am stuck right now, is how can pro-choice Democrats strike down any law that threatens a woman's choice to abort a pregnancy up to 3 months or more -- demanding protections of "free choice" from ANY restriction, fine or penalty under law -- and yet pass a mandate on private health insurance where a person choosing "NOT to buy health insurance" is subject to either penalties, taxes, or fines. How is THAT pro-choice???
Wouldn't the same arguments for mandated insurance to save lives of people at high risk ALSO apply to pro-life arguments for mandates to save babies lives against free choice?)
