Polarization: Liberal versus Liberal

What the right wing in American politics has done is shift most debates into a polarized sphere where if one takes a liberal position on any specific issue one becomes a liberal. It sets up their long held goal of pushing a stark contrast (polarized debate) between 'us and them'

How has that been working out for America and it's politics?

Polarization (politics), the process by which the public opinion divides and goes to the extremes
Polarization (psychology), the process whereby a social or political group is divided into opposing sub-groups

The extremes in this country don't make any sense.

The right has dipped down so far that they don't even support, education, science or investing in our tech edge anymore. They wish this nation wasn't a great power.

This is unacceptable!

So liberals don't take liberal positions on the issues?

Could you explain how one identifies someone as a liberal?

They rage about the "extreme right wing" that wants lower taxes and limited government. You know, the thing our Founders fought for.

Duh! If said person takes liberal positions, it's usually a sign that said person is a liberal. What is your point?

Liberal as a noun versus liberal as an adjective.

Can Senator Ted Cruz take a liberal position on a specific issue and still be considered a conservative or would such a deed make Cruz a liberal? :eusa_shifty:

Are you including the successful and wealthy in that, or are those the people who can go fuck themselves?

Cruz will never take a liberal position, even he if actually believes it. He's too much of a political prostitute to ever do that.

Planning on answering my question, you worthless ****?

To qualify as a liberal position:

Sanity must be checked at the door.

Inconvenient facts must be ignored in favor of designated "truth".

Other positions that do not conform to one or both of those conditions do not necessarily qualify as liberal.

What is about all of us?

That's meaningless horseshit, but it impresses the liberal dingbats, I'm sure.
