For considering to represent military and vets service to the country?

They can consider including the man in the moon if they are casually chatting over drinks among themselves.

Bottom line they did not make the request. No need to try to paint some evil intent because they asked questions. They were finding out what could and could not be part of the parade. Trying to gather facts to make and informed decision.
