Media Myth: He was pulled over because of a broken tail light.
Fact: Philando was pulled over because he fit the description of a black man with dreadlocks, with his hair in a bun and had glasses wanted for an armed robbery a few days prior. He fit the description. The tail lights weren't even out.

Media Myth: Castile was driving the car.
Fact: Nope Reynolds was.

Media Myth: Castile was a concealed carry holder and told that to the officer.
Fact: There is no record of Castile even applying for a conceal carry permit. So he was carrying a loaded gun illegally. A felony.

Media Myth: He reach for his wallet.
Fact: On his lap was the gun. Interesting that was on his lap and not his wallet.

Media Myth: Daughter in back seat.
Fact: The video appears to show the opposite. You can see or hear her. A 3 yr old girl would be crying and screaming if she heard a gun shot and saw her dad dying.

Once again the media promotes this narrative that police are hunting down and killing black boys. Shame on the media.

Proof that Philando Castile had a permit to carry from Hennepin County

IN-DEPTH: Minnesota's permit to carry law and how it applies to Philando Castile

There are 217,000 Minnesotans who have a permit to carry a firearm. Officially, it is called the Minnesota Personal Protection act, which was enacted in 2003. At its basic level, the law allows people to carry a pistol in public if they have a permit. That's why this law is called "permit to carry."

Minnesota's permit to carry law and how it applies to Philando Castile
Oftentimes, people will incorrectly call it the "conceal-carry law," and use the term interchangeably – but it is not. Minnesota's permit to carry law does not require citizens to conceal their pistol, although most people do.

To get a permit to carry a firearm, you have to be at least 21 years old and you have to have completed a firearms training course. The permit holder must carry that permit and a driver's license with him or her at all times when they're carrying that firearm -- and according to statute, "must display the permit and identification document upon the lawful demand of a peace officer."

The section of the statute that could apply to Castile's traffic stop states: "Upon request of a peace officer, a permit holder shall disclose to the officer whether or not the permit holder is currently carrying a firearm." There is nothing in the law that requires a person to voluntarily disclose to a peace officer that he has a permit or a firearm on him.

If they investigated at all. Most such killings are written off as black on black violence, too numerous to make the news.

Oh, you mean like people saying the Dallas shooter was a Martyr?
Doesn't this happen on both sides, once it gets politicized?
Aren't people on both sides used to make political statements in the media?

Wow you are a dishonest one. Neither are celebrated as celebrities. Honest people recognize them as the innocent men they are. The "mainstream" dishonestly destroyed their lives.

I'm not sure where this idea that Castile wasn't driving comes from. If you look at the video of the incident taken from the woman's phone, you can see the steering wheel in from of Castile. Also, from what I've read of the police's statements, he was the driver. For example, you can read this : Cops May Have Thought Philando Castile Was a Robbery Suspect
In there you will see this, ""Officer Yanez approached the vehicle from the driver's side and Officer Kauser from the passenger side. At one point during the interaction, Officer Yanez discharged his weapon striking Castile multiple times. No one else was injured," the statement said. "A gun was recovered at the scene. Officer Yanez radioed a request for an ambulance."". That certainly seems to indicate that Castile was driving as the officer who shot him was on the driver's side.

The whole video being reversed thing is probably due to video that makes it appear Castile is in the passenger seat, such as you'll see here : Video: Minn police shoot man during traffic stop; girlfriend live-streams aftermath on Facebook - Hot Air

Um, OK? Your link is not 'celebrated by the mainstream'. It means some people are willing to pay ridiculous amounts of money for ridiculous things, which has pretty much always been true. Hell, in that article it says the first site that hosted the auction took it down because of outrage. Is that being 'celebrated'?

Conservatives, who make up roughly half of the country celebrate Zimmerman. I would say that's enough to call them "mainstream."

Again, the first auction site that tried to sell Zimmerman's gun took the auction down because of outrage.

Also, painting with your broad partisan brush is not making your point any stronger.

No you don't cause if he moves he has to notify the sheriff of that county or it is void

Do you know which Minnesota law requires notifying the sheriff of any county you move to that you have a Minnesota carry permit? Also, did Castile move out of county after receiving that permit?
