I was just at the grocery store. I did my shopping and got into a line with one person at the cashier and one waiting in front of me.
I didn't really pay attention to what was going on until I heard the guy in front of me mumbling and swearing under his breath he left the line in a huff all pissed off about something.
So I moved up and the elderly guy at the cashier was getting a running total from the cashier and he would then place a few more things on the belt trying to make sure his money would cover everything.
The cashier looked at me and apologized telling me it might be a while but I had nowhere to go and all the other lanes that were open were all 3 deep.
The guy finally settled up after a little bit and the manger apologized to me I waved it off and said to him that waiting gave me the time to realize that I should just be grateful I didn't have to worry about being able to buy enough food for the week,
I got a very good dose of perspective
