people with money to burn

Well, it was the Republicans that opened this Pandora's box with their Citizen's United legislation, as well as the SC for upholding it as Constitutional.

You reap what you sow.

HA!! It was ALWAYS the rich that called the shots, ALWAYS. Except that before they had to work thru K-street to bribe Congress with donations to get their way.

Citizens United only legalized what was done anyway, remember the freezer full of cash? What CU doesn't address is how the MSM is trying to influence the voters with constant propaganda.

Steve Ballmer has $43B and could single-handedly influence hundreds of elections without noticing the money gone.

Leveled the playing field and that just pisses you off.

No. Allowing billionaires to put their thumb on the scales with loads of cash is what bothers me. The average citizen doesn't have thousands, much less millions to throw at candidates for political donations. And, it isn't just the democrats that are bitching about this, the republicans are as well.

Rich individuals, corporations and lobbyists all use their money to buy influence. This is goes on with both Parties and has been going on like this for decades. They target the Senators and Congressmen who have the most tenure and the most influence. That's how career politician's wallets get so fat.

Well the democrats always had the big unions and the press as well as big money and Hollywood yet they bitch incessantly about citizen’s United.
