There have been enough Navy Seals and/or people in the special forces community that have written books, shared information about it, etc. to make it pretty clear this was no hoax. I think it's safe to say that Osama Bin Laden is dead.

On a side note, I suspect we will see the photo's in the not to distant future. Obama both fears the muslims and wants to ingratiate himself to them, so there was never a chance of us seeing that photo. But I think you'll see someone else release it (if nothing else, in a F.O.I. request).

It's actually a JOINT operation gentlemen. The Seal Team will get "loaned out" to the CIA from time to time when they have operations that require exponentially more fire power than a James Bond agent brandishing a .22.

So yes, it was a CIA operation. However, if anybody out there thinks that the Pentagon is not fully briefed on that operation, provided all intelligence, and then included in the operation that is utilizing their best & brightest assets, then you are seriously demented. When the Pentagon loans out their Special Forces to other entities, they don't do so until they have been fully briefed on all intelligence.

That is such a bullshit way of putting it. It has nothing to do with ‘revenge.’ We were attacked. If you present no retaliation for that, do not stop those that plan these attacks and all around give out a pass you end up inviting more attacks. You present yourself as an easy target. OBL was found and killed because it is what had to be done. He was a threat.

To say that it is not justice is a really piss poor definition of justice and to say that it was solely for revenge is rather asinine.

Look at it realistically. The Pentagon said it has no photographic evidence of Bin Laden's death. Yet, there was enough photographic evidence to turn over to the crew filming Zero Dark Thirty to enable them to accurately recreate the raid.

Someone filed a Freedom of Information request with the Pentagon and the Pentagon said they didn't have the information because it was a CIA operation

Gee, I wonder why the ISI and the CIA wanted her dead? Remember, Omar Shariff is the same double agent that did in Daniel Pearl when he was snooping around where he shouldn't have been. And Benazir Bhutto was assassinated soon after this interview. Although she quickly obfuscated her position out of fear after attempts were made on her life, the U.S. showed it no longer supported her over Musharif. It was clear the die were cast.
