A top Pennsylvania Republican’s remark this weekend that the state’s new voter ID law would help Mitt Romney win the state has reignited a debate over whether the law is intended to curb fraud, as Republicans say, or to depress Democratic turnout, as Democrats charge.

The remark was made by Mike Turzai, the state’s House majority leader, when he spoke over the weekend to a meeting of the Republican State Committee and ticked off a number of recent conservative achievements by Pennsylvania’s Republican-led legislature.

“Voter ID, which is gonna allow Governor Romney to win the state of Pennsylvania, done,” he said, according to a report on PoliticsPA.com, a Web site that covers political news.

Curbing fraud is synonymous with curbing Democrat votes. The two are the same thing because Democrats are responsible for 100% of voter fraud. They are the party of voter fraud.

So you admit Democrats are committing voter fraud? Im surprised. and yet you still support Democrats.

Folks like Chris feel that someone who's not intelligent enough to get a free ID for themselves so that they CAN vote in the MONTHS and MONTHS leading up to the next election...is going to be a vote lost to the Democrats. Think about that for a moment. What Chris is basically saying is that a large voting block of the Democratic Party are idiots and can't perform the most basic of tasks. THOSE are the people that Chris doesn't want to have lose out on electing our next President which says VOLUMES about the Democratic base these days.

Of course they can't, the far right wing idiots are full of shit and can only spread lies.

WOW they won't vote if they have to get an ID??

Guess voting ain't that important to em then.

If the Democrats can bus 'em from Minneapolis and Chicago to vote in Racine, they can also come up with the equipment to cobble up fake id's. Just be a matter of using the last coupla seats on the bus to set up a camera and the ID printing equipment. The passengers that get displaced because of the equipment placement can ride on the roof of the bus. They routinely did that when they were back in Mexico anyway.

Why is it that even in the most primitive democracies, they can get it right on controlling voter fraud?

The only reason that the Democrats fight any measures to curb voter fraud is :

#1 Democrats need voter fraud
#2 Democrats need voter fraud
#3 Democrats need voter fraud
#4 All of the above

(and of course with the tried and true method of "OMG look we found boxes and boxes of ballots in <insert names truck> We (D) win!>

So actually he didnt admit any "voter suppression." What he admitted was fraud suppression.
So your thread title is a lie. Like every post you make.

Where is Google? He's your stat man.......and he can surely tell you how many confirmed cases of voter fraud there were in PA in 2008 and 2010......along with how many of those confirmed cases were perpetrated by Democrats.

Or.....maybe someone else can?

That is why their party is dying.

Voter ID's are free in PA and you can apply online.

you are dismissed

The liberal mind.

To ask for voter ID = voter suppression

To stand outside a polling booth wearing military like clothing and armed with a baton = nothing to see here move along.
