Gingrich

As House Speaker, Gingrich oversaw passage by the House of welfare reform and a capital gains tax cut in 1997. Gingrich played a key role in several government shutdowns, and impeached President Clinton on a party-line vote in the House. The poor showing by Republicans in the 1998 Congressional elections, a reprimand from the House for Gingrich's ethics violation, pressure from Republican colleagues, and revelations of an extramarital affair with a congressional employee 23 years his junior resulted in Gingrich's resignation from the speakership on November 6, 1998.[4][5] He resigned altogether from the House on January 3, 1999.

and the man who followed him: Dennis Hastert

In court submissions filed in April 2016, federal prosecutors alleged that Hastert had molested at least four boys as young as 14 years of age during his time as a high school wrestling coach.[5] At a sentencing hearing, Hastert admitted that he had sexually abused boys whom he had coached.[6] Referring to Hastert as a "serial child molester", a federal judge imposed a sentence of 15 months in prison, two years' supervised release, and a $250,000 fine.[7][3] Hastert was imprisoned in 2016 and was released 13 months later.

impeached President Clinton on a party-line vote in the House.

"House votes to impeach Clinton , Oct. 8, 1998. Five Democrats (Virgil Goode of Virginia, Ralph Hall of Texas, Paul McHale of Pennsylvania, Charles Stenholm of Texas and Gene Taylor of Mississippi) voted in favor of three of the four articles of impeachment, but only Taylor voted for the abuse of power charge."

Yeah, it took some balls for Gingrich to impeach Clinton for an adulterous affair when he himself was having one with a much younger woman.

Talk about an abuse of power!

This will get nasty quick.
I don't know. I'm pretty much bored with the whole thing. I think most Americans are, too. Trump's a piece of shit, and everyone knows it.

Even his own supporters know it, they just don't care. Trump has managed to get them to completely capitulate any morals they ever claimed to have.

Everything else is just noise. Really, really boring noise.

Trump has managed to make the perdition of himself and his followers boring.

Did Gingrich lie under oath about it to a grand jury?

Yes he was. After searching and searching and searching for four years to find a way to hang Clinton, and failing over and over and over, they finally landed on a blue dress. It was all they could come up with after a very long witch hunt.

Even Donald Trump himself said Clinton was impeached over "totally unimportant nonsense", and that Bush should have been impeached for lying about WMDs in Iraq instead.

Let's force Trump under oath and ask him about his sex life. That should be fun!

When all is said and done, Clinton was impeached for an affair. By a guy who was having an affair.

I wonder how Newt was able to stand the stench of his own hypocrisy.

"Look at the trouble Bill Clinton got into with something that was totally unimportant. They tried to impeach him, which was nonsense." - Donald J. Trump

Nope! You are correct he was impeached for being a "liar" ! His crime was running around with women "who couldn't keep their mouths shut"! Pun intended!

Clinton in part was impeached because the Repubs know they were hosed with the Nixon impeachment. Progs took over the Democratic Party in that era. Repubs will not be fooled again as they follow Prog leads. This is what we get when we elect sociopaths and psychotics who live by pure political beliefs over anything. Progs spout hate for the founding fathers many years and now love them for the impeachment.

Why was he even being asked about his sex life under oath in the first place, except to satisfy a witch hunt, kid?

Clinton was impeached for an affair. By a guy having an affair with a much younger woman himself.

That is the most profound example of hypocrisy ever.

Let's force Trump under oath and ask him about his sex life. What do you say?
