What a twat. It doesn't matter that the american people made it clear that they don't want the socialist health care. Pelosi wants to shove it down our throats whether we like it or not.

All the while accusing Bush of being a cruel hearted torturer...

I'd say that forcing this on an unwilling majority would be the same as torture...wouldn't you?

What in the existing bill is socialist?

It provides for private companies to insure Americans

It's more fascist than "socialist". Although, realistically, all collectivist systems pretty much end up the same way.... with the government running everything.

While it's true that the government wouldn't technically "own the means of production", absolute control of a thing is de facto "ownership". If I take your car, and you have no means of getting it back, you might "own" it... but I'm riding and you're walking.

Fascism is really just putting a nicer face on Socialism, a shotgun marriage between business and government, whereby the "bride" isn't given a choice. Just like 'We The People' aren't given a choice on whether we want to buy an insurance product or not, or whether we want some bureaucrat riffling through our private medical records... the insurance companies aren't given a choice about what product they'll sell, who they'll sell it to, or what the price will be.

Personally, I don't think they mind too much. It's not like we've seen them kick up much of a fuss. So, I think we can deduce that "the price is right" as far as they're concerned, and that as a "bride" they're only playing coy.

1. When a Government run healtcare system was proposed it was called socialist

2. So they dropped single payer and said people could keep their private insurance but would have an option to buy Government insurance........and the right called it socialist

3. So they dropped the public option entirely and went to pure private insurance....and the right STILL is calling it socialist

Does the right even know what socialism is?

The government forcing people to buy a product is socialist.
