What is the difference between patience and faith?

When you work real hard at, say, building a tree-house, you need patience to see the job through and take the time to do the work diligently and carefully and with great detail, but you also might need faith in your ability to finish the job (you might for example face challenges while doing the work!).

Patience can not be totally different from faith, but faith can imply other qualities/virtues such as courage and compassion, while patience simply refers to having the self-composure to not want to take short-cuts or become frustrated with the tediousness of time.

When we watch a horror film such as Friday the 13th, we might think about natural human fears regarding perfect safety and privacy, and we may think of the faith in our daily lives that protects us from unusual feelings regarding violence and crime. However, we may also think of the patience necessary to trust police officers to do their laborious work to protect us from evil-doers/monsters.

It seems to me that faith compels us to exhibit patience and that patience can inspire us to believe in ourselves enough not to want to speed up time or take short-cuts to happiness.

apples and oranges, faith and patience have no corollary than in the correct combination they can be mutually beneficial and / or self destructive.

faith without a conclusion is a burnt fuse without the bang.
