Does TrumpUSA remind you of a 'Dr. Feelgood Fanzine'?

Tom Hanks, Tom Cruise, Ajay Satan, and Kurt Russell were media diplomats in the modern era in America. Hanks and Cruise were movie super-celebrities. Ajay was an Internet-blogging self-proclaimed 'vigilante.' Russell was a very popular movie star making adventurous films, even though he was not a super-celebrity. The quartet called themselves the Pantheon, since they were invested in the metaphysical symbolism of socialization folklore (e.g., Woody Allen's Celebrity, David Fincher's The Social Network).

Hanks gave himself the ancient mythology avatar-alias Poseidon (god of the sea), since he was wise about social customs; Cruise 'became' Hades (god of the underworld) since his movies represented pedestrian daydreams and were treated as 'imaginarium fantasies' (or toys!); Ajay became Ares (god of war), since he was a political-cartoonist; Russell became Hephaestus (god of metallurgy), since his films represented common sense wisdom. The Pantheon wanted to use their godly 'charms' to evaluate issues/topics like pornography, censorship, terrorism, and racism. They had their own views on crime, aesthetics, politics, and popular culture. The Pantheon admired how ancient mythologies addresses subjects about 'lifestyle consciousness.'

POSEIDON (Hanks): Maybe Playboy magazine is the new society magazine!
HADES (Cruise): It surely represents pedestrian aesthetics in the age of pulp.
ARES (Ajay): Pornography has changed the way we conceive of 'media etiquette.'
HEPHAESTUS (Russell): How controversial should censorship be in America?

POSEIDON: It seems that Facebook has altered social customs!
HADES: Anyone a fan of The Craigslist Killer?
ARES: Anyone read Hearts West: True Stories of Mail-Order Brides on the Frontier?
HEPHAESTUS: Facebook, Amazon, eBay, and MySpace have conquered the Pony Express.

POSEIDON: I used to be a big fan of Charlie's Angels.
HADES: I preferred CHiPs.
ARES: I liked MTV's The Real World.
HEPHAESTUS: I liked Happy Days!

POSEIDON: I hear Bollywood makes many movies about rape/violence.
HADES: Yes, Bollywood films also feature many musical numbers/songs.
ARES: I've seen many Bollywood films; they cater to a 'pageantry-aesthetic.'
HEPHAESTUS: In the age of media, sharing movies across cultures is important!

POSEIDON: Americans love horror-cinema.
HADES: I'm a fan of Friday the 13th films.
ARES: I prefer Halloween films...
HEPHAESTUS: I like Halloween III: Season of the Witch.

POSEIDON: When did 'fanzine-consciousness' replace society gazettes?
HADES: I think Hitchcock and Tarantino introduced people to the concept of 'liberal chat.'
ARES: Cop-shows/films are very important/symbolic (e.g., High Incident, Maniac Cop).
HEPHAESTUS: After 9/11, Americans fear criticisms about consumerism/pornography.

POSEIDON: Yes, well, 9/11 reminded us that not everyone likes 'liberal chat.'
HADES: The destruction of the World Trade Center meant American ideals were challenged.
ARES: Maybe American democracy is very fertile but also still very 'young.'
HEPHAESTUS: Maybe art can cure the sores of political grudges (e.g., Munich).

POSEIDON: I'd like to see more EWTN dialogue about free-speech!
HADES: I'd like to see more Vatican storylines on Al Jazeera...
ARES: Non-Westerners are affronted by Western images of graphic sexuality.
HEPHAESTUS: Free-speech has replaced racism in networking-related intrigue.

After the Pantheon concluded their little debate/discussion about 'media-consciousness,' they started reading Carnage comics about the nasty mutating fleshy super-villain who represented modern fears about urban anarchy and terrorism(!). The Pantheon agreed that Carnage was the new Godzilla and could be referenced in modern discussions about social panic. The Pantheon wondered how Hollywood imagination, media-consciousness, and free-speech rhetoric should be placed in the neo-library of incendiary ideas (e.g., WikiLeaks).

The Pantheon decided to forge a media/entertainment enterprise with comics writer/artist William Gibson for a series of comics about free-speech superheroes titled Archangel Comics. Archangel Comics would feature stories about Captain America, Wonder Woman, Squirrel-Girl, and Plastic Man pit in challenging scenarios featuring Internet-hackers, NSA-spies, and European terrorism destabilizing globalization-politics. One storyline would specifically focus on the media's coverage of the vital alliance between the rival Koreas during the PyeongChang Olympics [2018].

TRUMP: Do you like this "Pantheon"?
CARTER: I admire its...integrity!
TRUMP: The modern age is all about media, Carter.
CARTER: Yes, Mr. President.
TRUMP: Maybe pornography/censorship should be key issues.
CARTER: Facebook has streamlined many consumer-ended liberalisms.
TRUMP: Yes, Facebook has uneased sensibilities about 'popcorn-media.'
CARTER: Perhaps American fanzine intellectualism is the 'anti-McCarthyism trend.'
