Palin just couldn't help herself. With her latest reality show getting no takers, she must be getting desperate for the spotlight. My god, that woman is a blathering idiot.

Sarah Palin Questions Obama White House Holiday Card

"It's odd," she said, wondering why the president's Christmas card highlights his dog instead of traditions like 'family, faith and freedom.'"
"Even stranger than that was his first year in office when the Christmas ornaments included Chairman Mao," Palin said. "People had to ask that it be removed because it was offensive."

Palin was referring to when a right-wing blog posted a grainy photo, allegedly of an ornament on the White House Christmas tree in 2009 showing a reproduction of Andy Warhol's "Mao" portrait. Media Matters reported that the tree was decorated by community groups, not the White House.

Palin said a majority of Americans prefer "American foundational values illustrated and displayed on Christmas cards and on a Christmas tree." With regard to the card, she added, "It's just a different way of thinking coming out of the White House."
Obama's dog is black. Palin likes blacks.

Do the math.

Most Americans don’t realize we have elected a president whom we know very little about.

Researchers have discovered that Obama’s autobiographical books are little more than PR stunts, as they have little to do with the actual events of his life. The fact is we know less about President Obama than perhaps any other president in American history and much of this is due to actual efforts to hide his record. This should concern all Americans.

A nation-wide network of researchers has sprung up to attempt to fill in the blanks, but at every opportunity Obama’s high-priced lawyers have built walls around various records or simply made them disappear. It is estimated that Obama’s legal team has now spent well over $1.4 million dollars blocking access to documents every American should have access to. The question is why would he spend so much money to do this?

The president who campaigned for a more “open government” and “full disclosure” will not unseal his medical records, his school records, his birth records or his passport records. He will not release his Harvard records, his Columbia College records, or his Occidental College records—he will not even release his Columbia College thesis. All his legislative records from the Illinois State Senate are missing and he claims his scheduling records during those State Senate years are lost as well. In addition, no one can find his school records for the elite K-12 college prep school, Punahou School, he attended in Hawaii.

What is he hiding? Well, for starters, some of these records will shed light on his citizenship and birth.

Maybe that's the point...since President Obama is president to ALL the people, including Christians, Jews, Muslims, Atheists, and people who are actually kinda fond of the Great Pumpkin. (I'm in the last category)

Lambert (2003) has examined the religious affiliations and beliefs of the Founders. Of the 55 delegates to the 1787 Constitutional Convention, 49 were Protestants, and three were Roman Catholics (C. Carroll, D. Carroll, and Fitzsimons). Among the Protestant delegates to the Constitutional Convention, 28 were Church of England (or Episcopalian, after the American Revolutionary War was won), eight were Presbyterians, seven were Congregationalists, two were Lutherans, two were Dutch Reformed, and two were Methodists.

A few prominent Founding Fathers were anti-clerical Christians, such as Thomas Jefferson[13][14][15] (who created the so-called "Jefferson Bible") and Benjamin Franklin.[16] A few others (most notably Thomas Paine) were deists, or at least held beliefs very similar to those of deists.[17]

Yes, Christmas is a national holiday...since U S Grant made it so in 1870. So, it hasn't been a national holiday since the birth of the US Constitution.

Our history isn't Christian. Our history has a lot of Christians as part of it. It also has Jews, Atheists, and other non Christians who are JUST as much American citizens as the Christians are.

As Dot Com stated, a lot of the founders were Deists.

The US Constitution does not mention a creator. The Declaration of Independence does. However, the DoI doesn't mention Jesus or Christianity. Additionally, the DoI is not the law of the land. The Constitution is.

Freedom OF religion includes freedom FROM religion since nobody is forced to become a member of any religion.

A great many Christian principles are pretty much universal when it comes to religion, in general. So, stating that our country is as successful as it is simply because of a Christian past is misleading. Keep in mind, a lot of our Christian forefathers did many things that would hardly be considered Christian, then or now. Slavery and killing the American Indians come to mind. Probably one of the things that made America great had more to do with unlimited resources, slave labor, and having no powerful countries on our borders to challenge America as it set about building the nation.

Finally, the US Constitution is a secular document. That's a fact. If the founding fathers had wanted to somehow make Christianity an official part of the US Constitution, they could have done so. They obviously chose not to do it. And I would appreciate it if religious people would accept that fact instead of trying to somehow graft the Bible into the Constitution because they think they know better than the founding fathers.

Thank you.

By the way, Have a Merry Christmas.

This is worth watching.
She points out Bush, Reagan, Clinton, cards, none of which is very Christmasy.
The final ones are Fox's cards ... totally commercial.

yeah....talk about party poopers....they even banned Christmas in Boston for 22 years...

but they had their reasons....

First of all, it reminded them of the Church of England and the old-world customs, which they were trying to escape.

Second, they didn't consider the holiday a truly religious day. December 25th wasn't selected as the birth date of Christ until several centuries after his death.

Third, the holiday celebration usually included drinking, feasting, and playing games - all things which the Puritans frowned upon.

Fourth, the British had been applying pressure on the Puritans for a while to conform to English customs. The ban was probably as much a political choice as it was a religious one for many.

the word creator doesn't appear in the constitution.

neither does the word, dog.

All through the Bush Presidency I received Christmas cards from the White house.
(not one, yet, from the Obamas. Wonder why ;) )

But their cat was always easy to find.
