One seat the Republicans won't win

She would certainly do better if she went after his record.

He's a tax raiser plus.

The good people of Del have quite a choice. O'Donnell an unknown and Coons a self avowed Marxist.

Sheesh. Glad I don't live in Delaware.

Coons is a "self-avowed Marxist" the same way O'Donnell is a "self-avowed Witch".

See how that works?

Like it?

damn! She's a witch? Good thing she doesn't live in Winston-Salem huh?

Damn right. The Conservatives would burn her.

I kinda hope O Donnell wins...

She's like an amusement park for bi-polar Democrats.......:welcome:

I've always liked Stephen Green

Vodkapundit Handicapping the House – Quick & Dirty Edition

As of Saturday morning, RCP’s poll averaging now gives the GOP 220 seats, 178 for the Democrats, and 37 remain too close to call. This is the first time either side has polled the Magic 218 or better all year.

Let’s look at the movers since last week.

Not many seat moved to the left, but here they are.

PA17 – Leans Dem to Likely Dem
NY24 – Toss Up to Leans Dem
MI07 – Leans GOP to Toss Up
AZ03 – Likely GOP to Leans GOP

And that’s it. All the others — and there are lots of others — moved right.

KS3 – Leans GOP to Likely GOP (There’s not going to be a blue seat left in Kansas)

AZ07 – Likely Dem to Leans Dem to Toss Up
IA01 – Leans Dem to Toss Up
IL10 – Leans Dem to Toss Up
OR05 – Leans Dem to Toss Up
TN04 – Leans Dem to Toss Up
WA02 – Leans Dem to Toss Up

MN08 – Likely Dem to Leans Dem
TX27 – Likely Dem to Leans Dem

And this next group is the really worrisome one — if you’re Nancy Pelosi…

CA11 – Toss Up to Leans GOP
IL14 – Toss Up to Leans GOP
IL17 – Toss Up to Leans GOP
IN09 – Toss Up to Leans GOP
FL02 – Toss Up to Leans GOP
FL22 – Toss Up to Leans GOP
OH18 – Toss Up to Leans GOP
SD01 – Toss Up to Leans GOP

The Senate now breaks 51/49 for the Democrats. The Dems need to hold West Virginia and their entire West Coast Firewall — and they seem likely to do just that. But an eight-seat gain is nothing to sneeze at.

And I’ll give you my final thoughts now on Christine O’Donnell. Is she a lousy candidate? Yes — did you see that “I’m not a witch” ad? Would the GOP be in a significantly better position to win the Senate had she lost her primary fight against Mike Castle? Yes — about 50% better odds. Does that mean the Tea Party is made up of dreamy-eyed political amateurs who keep picking questionable candidates? Yes — guilty on both of those charges, too.

But — and this is a big butt — that reckless Tea Party enthusiasm is precisely why the GOP stands to gain 50 or more seats in the House and eight in the Senate. And if you’re so certain that the traditional GOP is so good at picking candidates, just cover yours ears and shout “lalalalalalalalala” while I name-drop Bob Dole and John McCain and pretty much anybody wearing the GOP label most anywhere on the Left Coast the last 20 years. I could go on.

We all make mistakes, especially on election day. And for a young movement, the Tea Party has shown some remarkably solid judgement. But the real proof comes on November 2, and if they can really do the down and dirty GOTV stuff to win bigger than the margin of cheating — because that’s the only way for Republicans to reach 218.

O'Donnell Vs. Coons is probably one the the counties highest pofile races, but this woman shoots herself in the foot damn near everytime she opens here mouth. Please Christine, PLEASE tell me 'that's what the first ammendment says?' was not a serious question.

O'Donnell questions separation of church, state - Yahoo! News

Gotta agree that I'm glad I don't live in Delaware. I would vote for O'Donnell for the two main reasons I am voting for anyone this year (1: Not an incumbent, and 2: "conservative") but in this case, I wouldn't feel great about it.

Reputable, objective source, please.
Obama Omits "Creator" from Declaration of Independence -- AGAIN
Also see whitehouse.gov for the entire transcript.
Why is it you havwe such a problem accepting the fact that Obama is indeed not well versed and in fact is in some cases deliberate in choosing his words depedning on his audience.
Obama clains to be a Christian. Ok, for a moment let's stipulate for the record that's true and accurate.
Why Obama would leave out such an important part of that sentence is a question that will burn into the memories of each us.
I believe the omission of "be their creator" was deliberate.

Fail. Play again without a propaganda rag from beyond the far right: I mean, really. Let's stipulate that you are not well informed or educated, and you are a walking tone for the propaganda right.

Believe the moon is made of cheese, if you wish. It's your right.

Mike Castle was fired because he is a RINO.
ANd it was not "all of the sudden". Castle lost in the Primary.
You've been listening to Karl Rove a bit ,haven't you?
Look, mainastream status quo republicans are the ones who are crying over Tea Party candidates beating other mainstream status quo republicans. Quite frankly ,if these people lost Primaries, they deserved to lose because they are not conservatives.
We are not electing a Jersey. We are affecting change in the GOP. We want conservative leadership in Washington. Not the old guard RINO's who tried the "big tent" and wanted to "reach across the aisle"... The ones that started that crap got the boot on Nov 2008.

It was all of the sudden--the robocalls were made right before the primary. The republicans took Palin's advice without researching who O'Donnell actually was. Now that they are hearing her and discovering that she really hasn't done anything. A lot of people felt that Mike Castle could win as a write-in candidate, but he declined. He was the one who was projected to take over the election--not O'Donnell. This is the third time that nitwit has run since she was fired from her last job in 2004. No one ever took her seriously until Palin had those phone calls done. Then people blindly voted for her.

No, I don't listen to Karl Rove.
Yeah right.
I am sure a simple phoine call persuaded all the Castle supporters to change their minds and vote for O'Donnell..
Now , think for a moment how illogical that appears.
You can believe what you wish. Castle's record as a left leaning moderate republican got him fired.
And of course you have evidence that "people bilindly voted for her".
Look, if you want to be left behind with the old wishy washy GOP establishment, it's your choice.
Good night and good luck to you.

Well, I probably get more information on this election than you do, since I live in Maryland, six miles from the Delaware border. And yes, that is what happened. Delawarians aren't the brightest, and apparently these robocalls tipped the scales. Gee, maybe the nitwits thought it was really Palin calling them!

No republican with half a brain would have put her up for this election. Castle was way ahead of Coons. It would have been an easy win. Now it's an easy loss---for Republicans.
