One Good Reason Al Gore May Not Run.Anguish Of Facing Live Questions Regarding Global Warming.

A newspaper article? Lassie, you just branded yourself as one dumb fuck. Here, learn to read real science. An article from 1981 that predicted exactly what we are seeing today;

http://pubs.giss.nasa.gov/docs/1981/1981_Hansen_etal_1.pdf

Summary. The global temperature rose by 0.20C between the middle 1960's and
1980, yielding a warming of 0.4°C in the past century. This temperature increase is
consistent with the calculated greenhouse effect due to measured increases of
atmospheric carbon dioxide. Variations of volcanic aerosols and possibly solar
luminosity appear to be primary causes of observed fluctuations about the mean trend
of increasing temperature. It is shown that the anthropogenic carbon dioxide warming
should emerge from the noise level of natural climate variability by the end of the
century, and there is a high probability of warming in the 1980's. Potential effects on
climate in the 21st century include the creation of drought-prone regions in North
America and central Asia as part of a shifting of climatic zones, erosion of the West
Antarctic ice sheet with a consequent worldwide rise in sea level, and opening of the
fabled Northwest Passage.

You want to be taken seriously discussing this subject, post peer reviewed articles from real scientists.

Don't call me a dumb fuck you idiotic old tool. The moment you start that garbage you cease to be relevant...as if a dimwitted left loon could ever be relevant. You realize normal and intelligent people laugh at you...right?

California has 12% normal snowpack in the Sierras. We have about 19% normal snowpack in the Cascades. Not no snow, but a lot less where it matters.

the religion that won't go away
they just want to believe

From the New York Times, 128 years of polar doom:
no doubt they were all peer reviewed :)

1881:"This past Winter, both inside and outside the Arctic circle, appears to have been unusually mild. The ice is very light and rapidly melting ..."

1932:"NEXT GREAT DELUGE FORECAST BY SCIENCE; Melting Polar Ice Caps to Raise the Level of Seas and Flood the Continents"

1934:"New Evidence Supports Geology's View That the Arctic Is Growing Warmer"

1937:"Continued warm weather at the Pole, melting snow and ice."

1954:"The particular point of inquiry concerns whether the ice is melting at such a rate as to imperil low-lying coastal areas through raising the level of the sea in the near future."

1957:"U.S. Arctic Station Melting"

1958:"At present, the Arctic ice pack is melting away fast. Some estimates say that it is 40 per cent thinner and 12 per cent smaller than it was fifteen years [ago]."

1959:"Will the Arctic Ocean soon be free of ice?"

1971:"STUDY SAYS MAN ALTERS CLIMATE; U.N. Report Links Melting of Polar Ice to His Activities"

1979:"A puzzling haze over the Arctic ice packs has been identified as a byproduct of air pollution, a finding that may support predictions of a disastrous melting of the earth's ice caps."

1982:"Because of global heating attributed to an increase in atmospheric carbon dioxide from fuel burning, about 20,000 cubic miles of polar ice has melted in the past 40 years, apparently contributing to a rise in sea levels ..."

You know, I have worked as a blue collar craftsman for over 50 years. Still working. And I learned early on, that calling dumb fucks for what they are is the only way to deal with them. You don't like the title, don't work at earning it. Actually research what you post before you post it.

Comrade,

you did not get the memo

we are arguing that more snow this year is because
of climate warming errr climate change

Fig.1 Arctic sea ice volume anomaly from PIOMAS updated once a month. Daily Sea Ice volume anomalies for each day are computed relative to the 1979 to 2011 average for that day of the year. Tickmarks on time axis refer to 1st day of year. The trend for the period 1979- present is shown in blue. Shaded areas show one and two standard deviations from the trend. Error bars indicate the uncertainty of the monthly anomaly plotted once per year.

Yep. Looks like the ice is melting

Breitbart? Might as well listen to Rush

I have little doubt you can pull up rightwing propaganda to refute global warming. Big oil pays well

What you can't do is point to peer reviewed scientific studies to support your position

The science is settled

Snowfalls are now just a thing of the past
March 20, 2000

Britain's winter ends tomorrow with further indications of a striking environmental change: snow is starting to disappear from our lives.

Global warming, the heating of the atmosphere by increased amounts of industrial gases, is now accepted as a reality by the international community. Average temperatures in Britain were nearly 0.6°C higher in the Nineties than in 1960-90, and it is estimated that they will increase by 0.2C every decade over the coming century. Eight of the 10 hottest years on record occurred in the Nineties.

But now....

Britain braced for heaviest snowfall in 50 years- 2010

BRITAIN faces months of freezing winds and heavy snow as long-range forecasters predict a “horror winter” ahead- 2013

like I said
Global warming errr Climate Change

it is a religion
not a real scientific theory

It is the Democrats modern version of alchemy
