There need not be a theocracy in the U.S. for the anti-war Pope to have a positive influence and outcome on the Iran vote for Obama. The Pope can be respected for providing a moral and honest assessment of the deal. And that is not something that opponents of the deal are known for.

Again, the Pope will give his meaningless comments which will go in through one ear of Congress and out through the other.

He should stick to religion, and keep his nose out of politics.
