The new tactic of the insurance companies......excuse me...the republican party is to try to shout down any discussion of the healthcare issue at all. Its not a case of what form healthcare reform should take, but how ANY revision to the way we mishandle healthcare would be a threat to the mega billion dollar insurance industry.
So you think the US govt....the same govt that cant manage Social Security, make Medicare financially solvent, Properly fund the Cash for Clunkers program, failed to provide native americans with decent healthcare as provided in treaties with them, can't balance a budget...can manage your health care?

I just dont get how people are able to trust this govt with something as important as health care.
I have to get my annual echiocardiogram next week (i have a leaky valve in my heart, not serious) and guess how much it costs me to get it done? Its FREE...and i'm on american health insurance!!!
Maybe we should just stick to extending the type of coverage I have, or better yet the type congress has, to all americans.

I don't think anyone is embarrased Jillian. They are just down right pissed off and well they should be. Keep in mind that there are many present from your party that are at these town hall meetings and are just as angry as the republicans. They now can be considered former Obama voters. Let me outline the anger for you, in case you missed it.
1. The 780 billion dollar no stimulus stimulus bill, full of pork, Obama rushed this through before anyone had a chance to read it. Remember the pledge. " Americans will have 5 days to read anything before I sign it. There will be transperency."
2. The 480 billion dollar Omnibus bill, 9000 earmarks, remember the pledge. " I will sign no bill with earmarks."
3. Cap and Trade, narrowly passed the house. Will add between 1,800 to 3,000 dollars to every American families utility bills. Will also cause the loss of app 5 million American jobs. China and India have stuck their noses up to this outrageous idea, but we are gonna do it anyway. BTW, still no proof on what causes global warming and when you consider that the earth has been cooling for the last 11 years while CO2 has risen, I think it would be wise to re-visit this before you kill American jobs and hike up everyone's utility rates. Don't you?
Now health care, a whopping 1 trillion in new debt. hmmm, planned after Canada's system. I know many Canadians, they hate their health care system. Obama wants us to turn over our health care to the most incompetent people there are, THE GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEE. They have bankrupt social security, medicaid, medicare, and essentially submitted a resume that would have gotten anyone else fired on the spot. OOOhhhhh, but they can do it now----- we just need to give them one more chance at 7% of our economy. Know now what the anger is all about??? and if you don't you have been lying to yourself or just flat out not paying attention.
