Official 10% Unemployment Rate is Really Almost 22%

I give up. Your continuous broken record here suggests that you have so bought into class envy and big government solutions that you are either unable or unwilling to even consider any other point of view, much less try to understand one.

It has been proven time and time and time again that more freedom, a free market, human rights, AND a tax and regulation policy favorable to business is the best prescription for sustained growth and prosperity for the largest number of people. There is no evidence of any kind that the government spending more and more money and/or more government meddling is good for sustained growth and prosperity, but deficit government spending and excessive manipulation and meddling with the market does create other problems.

It has also been demonstrated time and time and time again that government solutions too often create social dependencies that our counter productive to sustained growth and prosperity as well as create unsustainable entitlements that require more and more taxes that are also counter productive to sustained growth and prosperity.

Now you can either believe that or not, but I don't think you can provide any credible information from any credible source that will support your point of view.

How about you answer the question!!!??? How do you get MORE customers when NOBODY HAS ANY MONEY!!! How do TAX CUTS make customers. You premise is total nonsense and I just PROVED that.

Do you even read the stupid things you say or just post them?

"Nobody has any money". Not true.

How do tax cuts make customers? Well for one, it makes money avialable to spend that would have been used for taxes. That might lower prices and make sales easier don;t you think? (You may want to not answer that one)

Your post is nonsense and you only proved your a hack and have little ability to think for yourself.

Oh yeah you are a GENIUS. LOL. You think tax cuts for the WEALTHY will give people more money? The WEALTHY ALREADY HAVE MONEY!!! it's the poor that need to SPEND money to bring the econ back. You think the top 1% will bring recovery because they buy another ITALIAN sports car? Or ANOTHER Yacht made by a foriegn company? Maybe they will make MORE jobs OVERSEAS!!! You are such a stupid MUTT that you lick that hand that is STARVING you. Oh and don't try to claim you are a millionaire I've heard that lie one too many times.

The poor do not buy things that bring the economy back. The middle class does that. It is truly sad that you believe the rich are buying yachts and sprts cars. Most of the rich I have ever met you would have no idea they had a million dollars. They are careful with their money and have usually worked hard to make it. The ultra rich you see while watching too much TV do what you suggest apparently (I doubt most of those even do that).

You are so angry about something, that you choose to blame others for your condition. Get over it and do something about it.

The POOR spend EVERYTHING they have because they are.....wait for it........POOR!!! If the POOR have more money they may buy that 32 inch LCD they have been dreaming of, they may thake their wife out for a nice dinner for their aniversary, but they WON'T squirrel it away that's for sure!

And yeah I'm SURE those Douche bag CEOs who ran their cos into the GROUND are living really low with their 7 and 8 figure BONUSES!!! What do those guys do to deserve BONUSES!!!??? The guys who are busting their asses day in and day out are getting PAY CUTS while the people RESPONSIBLE for the problems get RAISES or "Golden Parachutes" I'm sorry but yeah FUCK the rich! The fact that a CEO makes 400X what the average employee makes is fing CRIMINAL!

The rising concentration of income can be seen in a special New York Times analysis of an Internal Revenue Service report on income in 2004. Although overall income had grown by 27% since 1979, 33% of the gains went to the top 1%. Meanwhile, the bottom 60% were making less: about 95 cents for each dollar they made in 1979. The next 20% - those between the 60th and 80th rungs of the income ladder -- made $1.02 for each dollar they earned in 1979. Furthermore, the Times author concludes that only the top 5% made significant gains ($1.53 for each 1979 dollar). Most amazing of all, the top 0.1% -- that's one-tenth of one percent -- had more combined pre-tax income than the poorest 120 million people (Johnston, 2006).

But the increase in what is going to the few at the top did not level off, even with all that. As of 2007, income inequality in the United States was at an all-time high for the past 95 years, with the top 0.01% -- that's one-hundredth of one percent -- receiving 6% of all U.S. wages, which is double what it was for that tiny slice in 2000; the top 10% received 49.7%, the highest since 1917 (Saez, 2009).

A key factor behind the high concentration of income, and the likely reason that the concentration has been increasing, can be seen by examining the distribution of what is called "capital income": income from capital gains, dividends, interest, and rents. In 2003, just 1% of all households -- those with after-tax incomes averaging $701,500 -- received 57.5% of all capital income, up from 40% in the early 1990s. On the other hand, the bottom 80% received only 12.6% of capital income, down by nearly half since 1983, when the bottom 80% received 23.5%. Figure 5 and Table 7 provide the details.

Table 7: Share of capital income flowing to households in various income categories
Top 1% Top 5% Top 10% Bottom 80%
1979 37.8% 57.9% 66.7% 23.1%
1981 35.8% 55.4% 64.6% 24.4%
1983 37.6% 55.2% 63.7% 25.1%
1985 39.7% 56.9% 64.9% 24.9%
1987 36.7% 55.3% 64.0% 25.6%
1989 39.1% 57.4% 66.0% 23.5%

Well Fox either people have money or they DON'T. So you think that the ULTRA WEALTHY need MORE money to stuff into their mattresses rather than more money for the poor. We should be giving a $500 tax CREDIT to the bottom 40% each quarter for 3 years. That's $6,000 over three years for MILLIONS of Americans that will be SPENT BUYING things which will neccesitate MORE production and put people BACK TO WORK! That's money that will INSTANTLY stimulate the economy and will result in local sales tax revenue for states who desperately NEED it. It would be people going out to dinner and tipping thier wait staff. It would be money that is spent OVER and OVER and OVER and it WOULD result in more jobs. You see Fox your problem is you STILL believe the LIE of "trickle down" economics which has ONLY resulted in the top 10% controlling MORE WEALTH than any time since the great deppresion. How do you think it makes sense that having FEWER people controling MORE wealth is better for the economy?

Since I am not a socialist and know socialism to be a failed government system everywhere it has been tried, I don't concern myself whether some people become wealthy or that many, if not most Americans have more than I do. I am grateful to them for their contributions to society that I can't afford to contribute. I am grateful to them for the jobs they have provided me all of my working life which has been since I was 14. I am grateful for the freedom to aspire to be rich.

Now the following principles may be way over the head of some who are educated in the public school system courtesy of a socialism minded government, and nigh near impossible to understand by those educated at the knee of mushy headed liberalism, but let's give it a whirl.

I'm going to see if you are capable of focusing on these principles without swerving off into some kind of liberal la la land:

1. If you dip out of the deep end of the pool and pour it into the shallow end of the pool, you do not change the total amount in the pool and the levels will quickly return to where you started..

2. If those doing the dipping siphon off some of it in the process, there will be less in the pool than before - at both ends.

3. The ONLY way to increase the total amount in the pool is to increase the amount in the shallow and deep ends.

You know Fox you REALLY need to OPEN YOUR EYES! You sound like you are reading Faux news bumper stickers. You couldn't even DISPUTE my numbers OR my contention that the UNLTRA WEALTHY control MORE wealth than any time since the great depresion. What do you think that means? Why do you think the Great Depresion happened? You ACT educated but you SAY NOTHING!

As for you POOL if someone cuts a deep TRENCH from your pool into THEIR backyard they can drain your pool to NOTHING!!! THAT is what the ULTRA WEALTHY are doing by sending OUR JOBS, AMERICAN JOBS overseas. They have ZERO patriotism. They have ZERO respect for their FELLOW AMERICANS. They are laughing their asses all the way to the bank with thier 7 and 8 fugure bonuses.

Oh and by the way #3 is TOTALLY WRONG! You can add to the total amount by making the pool larger what has been happening is that the pool has become SMALLER AND DEEPER which is a recipe for DROWNING!

I think, CF, that the one thing you have accomplished here is to illustrate how difficult it is for a liberal to focus on a simple concept and form an opinion about it. There are no doubt others who will disagree with me about that of course, but generally those are the ones who also cannot focus on a simple concept and form an opinion about it. Do have a good day.

Your example is laughable. Buy a TV. Sure, that will help the economy as a poor person makes a one-time pruchase of a foreign made product. Injecting money on a single basis does not improve the economy or help the poor become middle class. We are discussing jobs, or the lack thereof. You are talking about wealth redistribution. Pretty typical of a liberal to only see today and not long term. Until you can discuss this in a rational way, you are just going to sound like a socialist loser.

Its probably worse then that. They will not stop till they have transfered all the wealth from the people to the elites, end result debt=slavery. We voted the only way that counts with our feet we found a guy that specializes in getting people out of the states, so we moved the family to margarita island, if your interested his website is escapethestates.com, It is about the cheapest cost of living in the world, gas is 4 cents a gallon, all food is organic by law, no taxes, no radar, and out of the hurricane belt in the southern caribbean.

Well I pointed out that your "rule #3" is ABSOLUTELY FLAWED didn't I. Was that not "on topic" enough for you?

The bottom 60% making LESS!!!!! LESS!!!! than 1979! Now does that make sense to you? Do you think that COULD be having an adverse effect on our economy?

Nope, you just threw in a red herring/non sequitur and declared it flawed. But you have not shown how it is untrue in any way, and anybody using half their brain can see that it is true. You cannot raise the shallow end of a pool without also raising the deep end.

You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.

You will not help the poor by hurting the rich.

If you so loathe and resent or envy the rich so much that you cannot stand for them to prosper, you condemn the poor to continuous poverty.

You are a freaking IDIOT! That purchase will allow a salesperson to KEEP his job or multiplied by tens of thousands will require the addition of MORE sales people. Those salespeople will spend THEIR money on various OTHER purchases or services. It is NOT a " single basis" sale it CONTINUES to flow through the comunity particularly adding to sales tax revenue for cash strapped local and state gov'ts. Like I said save you can lick the hand that is STARVING you, you can BEG for table scraps, or you can OPEN YOUR EYES and see how we are repeating the mistakes that brought on the GREAT DEPPRESION!
