A new poll released jointly by the Pew Research Center and Washington Post reveals that the American public, once described as bullish on the anti-Wall Street protests, has lost some of its appetite for the movement. Opinion is not quite evenly split, but it is close.
According to the poll, 39% support the Occupy movement, while 35% oppose it. The numbers are not markedly different from the publics view of the much-maligned Tea Party, which is supported by 32% of Americans and opposed by 44%.
