It's not a matter of huge tax increases.
It's literally a matter of life and death. Democrats are proposing killing millions of Americans with this Green New Deal.
They want to eliminate the use of fossil fuels. What does this mean in reality, not the imaginary world of Democrats?

• No more cars
• No more air travel
• All food will have to be locally produced
• No more heating and air-conditioning systems in our homes
  
• All electricity will have to be created using wind power or solar
  
• All plastics will be banned because they come from fossil fuels
• No more cell phones
• No more Television
• All containers will have to be made from wood, metal, or glass
• All buildings and homes will have to be remodeled to meet rigid government standards

None of this will erase the fact that countries like China and Mexico, the greatest polluters on the planet, will have to stop their practices and go along with this crazy deal to have any effect on the environment. Figure the odds on them being willing to do this. Maybe this is the Democrat's solution to the immigration problem....because nobody will want to live here after AOC's stupid deal goes into effect.
