you say its congress now, well if its congress, and the house controls the purse strings, why are we still having deficits? congress changed in 2011, to a split congress.the size of government has expanded more under GOP leadership than under Dem leadership. deficit spending has also ballooned more under GOP leadership than Dem leadership.

and now by your logic youre saying that during the reagan years everything that happened with the budget was due to the dems in congress? reagan had nothing to do with it? you cant have it both ways. you cant blame the president when hes a dem, and then when it changes to a rep switch over and blame congress. so who is more at fault for deficits? congress or the president?
also...why doesnt your graph take into account a split congress?
