Obammacare is causing Hospitals to close, how does this help the poor

Actually, hospitals have been closing their doors due to insolvency for decades ever since EMTALA was passed in the 80s. Another law the feds passed to "help" people which has had the opposite effect.

Or they can just walk into the ER for taxpayer funded care like they have the last 30 years thanks to Ronald Reagan, dumb fuck.
The fact is that the new Obammacare system is putting hospitals out of business and Americans out of work, this has not been happening for 30 years, the current trend began with Obummacare. Your denial means nothing

Dude, if the rate of hospital closure that we have now was happening for 30 years, there would be a negative number of hospitals in the USA. You have no clue, all you can do is repeat the fake news lie. Are you mad that Trump just took away your trans bathroom.......

The rural community of Sayre, Oklahoma, was left without a major health care facility last month when the local Sayre Memorial Hospital shut down in the middle of a Monday afternoon.
Sayre is among the latest in a string of rural hospitals ending operations, citing the continuing fiscal challenges of the current hospital environment. At least 68 rural hospitals, or about 4 percent of all rural hospitals in the United States, have closed since 2010, according to the Sheps Center for Health Services Research at the University of North Carolina. Four closed in the first two months of 2016 alone.
The causes of this decline in the availability of rural health facilities are legion, but at the root of the problem is the crushing weight of regulation through the Affordable Care Act. The sum total of mandated automation, reporting requirements, shrinking reimbursements and increasing penalties for noncompliance with other mandates has left rural hospitals out in the cold.
There is no longer an Obamacare mandate according to IRS... the law will crumble under its own weight.

Great, but it is important to recognize that the law had already crumbled under Obamas term, so blaming Trump is not possible.

Maybe .... just maybe .... Oklahoma should have taken the federal offer to pay for Medicaid expansion for ten years SO THE HOSPITALS WOULD GET PAID. yA THIINk?

Exactly---When states refused Medicaid expansion this was predicted.

WTF. Did you read your link?

In 2013, state and local governments provided $19.8 billion in funds to help offset the costs of uncompensated care borne by hospitals and other providers. Such payments constituted 26% of all uncompensated care costs that year. The average individual who is uninsured incurs about $1257 in uncompensated care costs [Table 1]. States and localities there save about $325 for each uninsured person who gains coverage as a result of the ACA.

This is not the place to quibble about he accuracy of President Obama's claim that the ACA has reduced the number of uninsured by 20 million. Taken at face value, that would imply that state and local governments now have $6.5 billion (corrected: see note [3]) in additional resources to spend on illegal immigrants, whether it be for health care, education or anything else. We may never know the exact amount of such savings repurposed to provide health care to illegal immigrants. But it strains credulity to claim that the number is zero. So it should be beyond all doubt that the ACA has increased the amount of resources dedicated to health care of illegal immigrants--the explicit legal prohibition against this notwithstanding.

So, the ACA provided 6.5 BILLION DOLLARS IN SAVINGS to state and local governments. And since the states saved that money, well they COULD now spend it on the care of illegal immigrants. Of course, the state could provide refunds to taxpayers with that money, or the state could provide new cars to all the legislators, or the state could take the money and spend it on FRIGGIN COTTON CANDY for all school children. So, do we now say that the ACA contributes to childhood dental disease because it causes states to spend money on cotton candy?

Honestly, that was about the stupidiest article I have ever seen. Forbes, go figure. But it takes a really big damn idiot to swallow that horseshit.

The funny thing is that the mandate is no longer in place for Obamacare, and who really cares if people want to sign up for Obamacare or not. As far as I'm concerned whoever wants to sign up for obamacare can... forcing people into the shit is a different story...

How does that help reduce the regulatory burden that's driving the unsustainable costs of operating a hospital? The problem isn't with the hospitals getting "paid" the problem is that their administrative and operating costs are too high to sustain a viable practice and the lions share of those costs are being driven by REGULATION and TAXES.

The solution is less government interference not more.

In typical fashion, another asshole trust fund loser, majoring in theater at some institution of marxist education, without a job passing soros memes on as though he has a clue about anything.

What is going to happen, as you can see, the left will blame the republican president in office for the deranged policies passed by the democrats before they took office.

For example (as I have said a bunch of times but not to this pathetic trust fund loser) clinton signed the commodity futures modernization act which exempted credit-default swaps from regulation. He also rewrote the community reinvestment act which put significant pressure on banks to give loans to low income housing. He also repealed Glass-Steagall, all of which led DIRECTLY to the housing bubble of 2008, which losers like this stupid ass moron blames on booooosh.

As the losers what specific policy boooooosh passed that led to the housing bubble. Go ahead. I listed specific policies passed by their beloved clinton. Nothing causes the left to go into complete emotional break down than the truth.

If and when I get the chance to kick them in their teeth when we get to actually fight the bolsheviks for our country......

It is going to get ugly. A lot uglier than it is now. Get ready folks.

Dishonest threads around here are getting boring. Here's the truth:

In a statement, Sayre Memorial Hospital said it had been hit hard by declining Medicare reimbursements as well as Oklahoma's decision not to expand Medicaid after the passage of the the Affordable Care Act.

"The closure is due to the continual financial strain that the hospital has felt. After the 2008-2009 recessions, Sayre was hit with the Federal Sequestration, which cut Medicare payments by 2 percent," the statement said. "Then in 2012, CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services) reduced reimbursements by 30 percent to 35 percent to Sayre for Medicare patients who can't cover their out-of-pocket expenses. In addition to these strains, the State of Oklahoma not expanding Medicaid has been detrimental to the hospital's operations.”

The UCA is dead, read that loser

Whatever. But I got to tell you, proclaiming that BECAUSE STATES SAVE MONEY under the ACA, they COULD spend it on the health care of illegal immigrants is like proclaiming the sky is blue in the morning. It is meaningless, except it openly admits that states save money if they fully implement the ACA. Then it portrays that savings as a negative. And idiots like you lap it up like a cat lapping up cream. Then you post it, proclaim it PROVES that the ACA results in illegal immigrants getting free health care, and pat yourself on the back for looking like a total fool.

And the OP--here is the deal. The federal government cut the reimbursement rate for compensating rural hospitals for treating the uninsured. Mostly because, under a fully implemented ACA, the number of uninsured would have declined. States that refused the expansion completely blocked access to healthcare to the group that was suppose to have qualified for an expansion of Medicaid. Those making less than 133% of poverty level. They don't qualify for Medicaid and they don't have enough income to qualify for tax credits to offset the cost of premiums. A large percentage of that population remained uninsured and utilized the emergency room for their health care.

Everyone saw this coming. In every single state that refused Medicaid expansion the rural and public hospitals begged the state governments to reconsider.

It's a Republican thing and it's beyond reprehensible. At every opportunity the Republican party sought to dismantle or weaken the ACA despite the cost to the American taxpayer and state and local governments. Then, when their actions, like refusing the Medicaid expansion, produces the very negative consequences professional predict, they blame it on the ACA.

The UCA is dead, read that loser

Oh, it's finally been repealed? I guess I missed that in the news
It killed itself, just as it was meant to do. Then we would need to implement fully socialized medicine, this was Obummas plan all along. Remember Trump was not supposed to win.

LOL, you are clueless just like this clown
