Who`s been telling us that ObamaCare with its huge deductibles was nothing but a fraud and a fat cash cow for Barack's crony capitalist buddies in the health care insurance industry, now the proof begins to appear.

Congratulations for a health care program that leaves tens of millions uninsured, millions with much poorer quality insurance than before and the other shoe, the ObamaCare attack on corporate health plans, hasn't even started yet

“A $6,000 deductible — that’s just staggering,” she said. “I never thought I’d say this, but how many minutes until I get Medicare?”
This is obviously a lie. ObamaCare is "Portable and Affordable".

Meanwhile, let's see what NFL games are on...

Well they were warned. Now they get to go without treatment

Government health care ain't that Obama just grand

Being a typical mind numbed Sports Zombie, it's whatever team is winning or on the TV now or whatever ESPN is hyping today.

That woman in the Story complaining about ObamaCare is obviously a racist too. Besides, why provide end of life care for her when we can use that money to educate teachers instead?

Here is how obamacare is turning out, in my opinion.

Seniors who buy supplemental insurance are seeing deductibles and co-pays skyrocket. Sure they may not be paying for the policy but certainly their out of pocket is increasing.

Yes, those who are on a company group plan have no problem with Obamacare it doesn't effect them all that much if at all. So all the liberals line up and say how great is Obamacare.

Yes, those receiving subsidizes love it also. Everyone loves what they don't have to pay for.

Which leaves the middle class. Those who are stuck between being well off and making too much to receive subsidizes. Remember they just can not have the status quo they have to buy health insurance. Health insurance with a high premium and high deductibles and co-pays.

What really is happening is that the health care industry is gouging our eyes out. They seem to think they are exempt from a downturned economy. They seem to think that the middle class can pay 10 dollars for a Band-Aid. Obamacare does nothing to help that situation. Without completion there is no price control. Where I live there is no competition, one hospital that is all.

And the Middle Class, which is a way out of poverty, is being wiped out in this country.

When I was born in 1963 my Dad said the entire Hospital stay for my Mom was $50 (50 or 20 I can't remember) and they set up a monthly payment plan with the hospital, no interest charged.

My how things have improved since then eh?

The government only saves money by passing their costs off onto other people. Insurance companies only made 4-6% profit, so they cannot absorb these costs without shorting customers.

What is next? Don't know if anybody noticed, but MSNBC recently seemed very focused on end of life care (as in pull the plug on granny) across different programs, and someone is running ads encouraging people to have the talk with their parents (presumably while they are healthy enough that they would say pull the plug as opposed to when they are really facing death and say "treat me"). It is pretty simple--they are going to jack up the price of dying in order to give more young deadbeats insurance for votes. Won't be long until seniors have to start paying for the medicare A coverage and then after that they will be drawing back so hospitals stop prolonging life by not giving the option unless you have some end of life insurance that will cost you more than you can afford.

The largest problem with healthcare in America, a problem that every single other issue stems from - that was not in the LEAST addressed by Obamacare.
HIGH COST.
Obamacare did absolutely nothing to address the outrageous cost of healthcare.
Example...a few weeks back I got sick. After the third day of no improvement I went to a walk-in. The actual time I took of the doctor's time - er - nurse practitioner...was no way more than 2 minutes. Probably less than that. She wrote a script for a Z-pack and left.
For that 2 minutes the bill was $121!

As many of us have noted before: ObamaCare is Not Health Care.

It is just mandatory insurance. The narrow networks and high deductibles make this insurance a transfer payment from middle class Americans to big insurance companies as ability to actually benefit from the insurance is reserved for only truly catastrophic situations. It would have been better to just encourage everyone to have a catastrophic private insurance policy via tax credits, and to avoid the enormous cost to the economy of the ObamaCare fiasco.

As many of us have noted before: ObamaCare is Not Health Care..

Exactly.
What I tell people - it is not insurance, it is a donation. Only way you will get one red cent of benefits is if you, or a member of your family becomes very seriously ill or major injury.
PERIOD.
And that is not health insurance.
Another very serious side effect of Obamacare will be rising cost. Every single time the government injects itself into an industry - costs SOAR.
Example - housing and education.
The real benefactor of Obamacare is those who will be heavily subsidized, and the insurance companies.
For everyone else, cost will rise. PERIOD. The money has to come from somewhere.

It is the same with everything the government get involved. Take higher education for an example. The government gets involved, with good intentions, and the cost of that education skyrockets well above inflation rate. So you will have to students sitting in the same room, one get money from the government and the other one pays through the nose. Something ain't right.

Problem: ACA policies kick in for "only truly catastrophic situations."
Solution: "Encourage everyone to have a catastrophic private insurance policy."

Good stuff.

Better stuff: "Mislead everyone be calling Obamacare healthcare coverage, when all it really is is catastrophic insurance" -- oh wait...we did that already.

Didn't you mean Force everyone? Mr. ObamaCare sales person

A catastrophic policy doesn't include the long list of required coverage that the ACA regulations specify. These drive up the cost, and are absolutely meaningless with a high deductible policy. A true catastrophic policy would be limited to serious diseases and accidents, with much lower premiums.

Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale,
A tale of a fateful slip
That started with a healthcare bill
When Democrats started to trip.
The boss was a wiley lying man,
The Senate weasely without cure.
The whole country set sail that day
For a ruinous 5-year tour.
The implementation started getting rough,
All the deadlines for fixing were crossed,
Now we find out that OWEbama knew
2.5 million jobs were lost, 2.5 million jobs were lost
The lies abound in the core of this uncharted healthcare hell
With Harry Reid
Pelosi too,
The Community Organizer, and his wife,
A healthcare czar
Sebelius’ web site in the can,
Here on Shilligan’s Isle.
So this is the tale of our socialists,
They're here for far too long a time,
We'll have to make the best of things,
Witnessing a constitutional crime.
Harry Reid, and Pelosi too,
Are never going to rest,
To make the others pay for their,
Socialistic healthcare test.
No insurance, no doctors, no hospitals,
Not a single practitioner to see,
Like England and Canada,
As socialist as can be.
So join us here each day my friends,
You're sure to step in a pile,
from Politicians who will soon be cast away,
Here on "Shilligan’s Isle."
