Obama will not veto a tax cut extension

I can believe it. Extending the tax cuts for all brackets would send a positive psychological message to small businesses. I think the Obama admin understands this; they just wish it wasn't that way. To get our debt straighted out, spending will have to be cut and taxes will have to be raised eventually. It's a big political gamble to raise that top rate, and would be a mountain of ammunition for Republicans If we double-dip into this recession... which isn't unlikely.

My main point is that he talks the far left rhetoric, but would ultimately make the centrist move by not vetoing it.

He's not a socialist. He's just another bullshitting politician.

And to think, I've been saying this all along...

yup--saying whatever will help him keep his job.
and people are shocked when they don't do what they promise.

Imagine...the guy who supposedly wants to redistribute wealth between classes, ultimately signing a tax cut extension for all?

That's not going to leave the right with much to bitch about...

WTF?? What happened to the guy who wasn't going to give tax cuts to billionaires?? They don't create jobs, its the small businessman that they want to help. The billionaires just move more factories to China.

Yeah. And if Obama's a socialist, so is every other Prez in recent history. If I remember right, Clinton moved to the center when it became clear the Republicans were going to make in-roads in Congress.

Who said taxcuts were in for billionaires, or that Obama doesn't write a signing statement.
