No surprise that Obama stands with Muslims yet again. Not a shred of compassion for Pastor Abedini, who is rotting in an Iran prison for the crime of being an infidel and accused of promoting his faith. Tsk, tsk, only Muslims have that right. The rest must pay for not being Muslim. So, in making the deal to hand Iran over 4 billion dollars and take their word for it when they promise to draw back on their nuclear weapons, it never occurred to Obama to insist that the release of the pastor should be a condition to handing over the money.

I'm already just amazed that some claim that Iran was right to have weapons considering their fear of Israel. Somehow, we are to believe that 4 billion dollars alleviated that fear and that's all it took to get them to fold. I don't think so. I don't believe them for one second when they claim they are willing to honor the deal. Sure, it allows Obama and Kerry to use the agreement for a positive sound bite, although that is not really working out. The majority aren't buying it and that includes many Dems. Does Obama even care? The Muslims are getting what they want and they don't even have to release the Christian. What a sweet deal. Billions of dollars, keeping the infidels down and no way for anyone to ensure they keep their promise, if anyone even tries. The rest of the world is skeptical and I think we all should question Obama's motives for making this deal in the first place. Virtually all of his foreign policies have been tailored to help his Muslim buddies.

President Obama had a choice. He could either stand with the Islamic Republic of Iran or he could stand with Saeed Abedini, the American Christian pastor they are currently torturing.

President Obama chose the Islamic Republic.

The Obama Administration confirmed the nuclear deal made with the Islamic Republic in the dark of night did not include any talks about releasing Pastor Abedini.

Obama and his administration whores don't give a shit about Americans in trouble abroad. This poor pastor will probably be dead by the time this Administration finally decides to even THINK of doing something.

Remember Jon Hammer, the Marine stuck in a Mexican prison for 4 months on a crap "weapons" charge? It took the media to get the State Department's ass moving.

Then we have the doctor in Pakistan that helped us nail Bin Laden. The poor guy is now stuck in a Paki prison. Where's Obama?

And now we also have an elderly American Vet in a North Korean jail. $10 says Obama is clueless on that one too.

American Pastor Imprisoned In Iran, Beaten In Hospital...
Christian Pastor In Iran Dragged From Hospital Bed, Beaten And Sent To Prison, Family Says
May 21, 2014 ~ A Christian pastor in an Iranian hospital was snatched from his bed and beaten before being sent back to prison, his family claims.
Pastor Saeed Abedini, who has lived in the U.S. and has been imprisoned in Iran since 2012, was in a hospital for injuries reportedly sustained in prison when he was pulled out of bed and beaten, his family members told Fox News. He was then dragged back to Evin and Rajai Shahr prison. "This news is devastating to our family," the pastor's wife, Naghmeh Abedini, told Fox News. "Saeed's family, who was present at the hospital when this occurred, witnessed the severe beatings that Saeed received- at one point seeing him collapse before being taken away. "We're very concerned about his health."

Saeed Abedini, a Christian pastor in Iran, was taken from his hospital bed, beaten and sent back to prison where he has been incarcerated since 2012, his family says.

Abedini, a U.S. citizen, has been in the hospital since March after allegedly suffering a beating at the hands of prison guards and other inmates. The pastor was told he would receive care for his severe injuries, including chronic stomach pain, but instead was chained and continuously beaten by guards, his family told Fox News. Originally from Iran, Abedini worked as a Christian leader who helped build church communities for converts in the Muslim country. He was helping to build a secular orphanage when he was arrested, tried and imprisoned in September 2012 for his religious beliefs, according to Fox News.

It is not yet clear why Abedini was sent back to prison this time around. "It is a very disturbing development that underscores what we have known from the very beginning- there is much upheaval and uncertainty in Iran," Jordan Sekulow, lawyer for the Abedini Family, told Fox News. "We've been hopeful since Pastor Saeed has spent the last two months in the hospital, instead of a prison cell. But this unexpected move raises great concern," the lawyer said. Nevertheless, Abedini's family will continue to fight for his release, Sekulow said.

Of course, you use fox. The least trusted source for news.

They lie....you believe.

Would you like Iran to rescue the Muslims siting in our prisons? Didn't think so.

The guy broke Iranian law while in Iran. They are working the issue in the background but you won't hear a thing about it until he is on a plane to France and out of Iranian airspace. That's how these things work so cool your jets.

You are not protected outside of this country. Got it? Now grow up.

Taking care that the oil keeps flowing in, sad thing.
Oil is the only reason we gave a damn about the Middle East. Welcome to REALITY!'

You're really cavalier on this stuff now.

Where is all that liberal compassion?

Next time tell your lefty friends that, I'm sure when there is a republican in the white house, they wont be so flippant about it.

There's three Americans imprisoned in Iran, one for nearly seven years. Are you only concerned with the Christian one?

That said, what do you think we should do? Muddle up an international accord on nuclear weapons because of three people who voluntarily entered a nation they knew was hostile to us?

Nuke them?

Invade them?

Since you're obviously privy to the inner workings of the diplomatic corps, tell us. What would you do that's not already been done?

I say the same thing regardless of who is in office. When the oil is gone, so are we, like shit through a goose. After that they can roast each others infants on stakes and we couldn't care less. That will include the Jewish ones as well.

He lives in a Bruce Willis movie. That's who he'd send to the rescue.

Marveling at the sheer ignorance of these posts. You are both as wrong on this as you are on most other things. Without trying, you proved how sexist you are. You can't believe a typical woman could have such beliefs, so you assume I am either a man or a "butch" woman. (what is 'butch' your code word for anyway??) I am petite, feminine and have strong opinions. Hope you've learned something here.

Iran is an Islamic Republic the state religion is Islam and toleration of other religions is not part of the legal rights of people in Iran. Similar restrictions apply in Saudi Arabia, some of the Gulf states and elsewhere in the Arab world. So what? It has been that way for centuries. The people like it that way. If you don't like it, don't go there. Muslims don't want you in their country. That is their right. Freedom of religion is a big deal in our society, not in theirs.

Bullshit. American citizens jailed abroad have the right to seek various forms of assistance from our Embassy or Consulate:

If arrested abroad, a citizen must go through the foreign legal process for being charged or indicted, prosecuted, possibly convicted and sentenced, and for any appeals process. Within this framework, U.S. consular officers provide a wide variety of services to U.S. citizens arrested abroad and their families.

We monitor conditions in foreign prisons and may protest allegations of abuse against U.S. citizen prisoners when requested to do so by the prisoner. We work with prison officials to ensure treatment consistent with internationally recognized standards and to ensure that U.S. citizens are afforded due process under local laws and international standards.
