Accepting refugees fleeing from certain death is both the pinnacle and responsibility of a civilized industrial nation.
Especially what's been described as the "Shining city on the mountain".
This is an immigrant nation, founded by immigrants for immigrants.
OK...
So speaking of "hills"...should we simply airlift those folks on the mountain and ship them here, feed them, house them and clothe them?
Or do they not count.
I don't have a problem with them coming here.
Perhaps they can move to Bush's neck of the woods, since it was him that fucked their country.
Growing up I had a couple of Iraqi friends. Played soccer with them.
They were mondo cool. Tough bastards too.
How about the children starving to death in China? North Korea? What about those in Cuba?
Better yet....what about all of those in Central America that want to come here but don't have the money for the trip?
Exactly where would you draw the line?
