Yes, Obama declares he isn't a socialist...and then spouts socialist platitudes, and embraces socialist ideals, and has a circle of socialist friends.

But we shouldn't think he's a socialist.

BTW, dumbasses, thanks to the Republicans...NOT the democrats, who fought it tooth and nail, we have earned income credit, head of household write-offs, and funding for rural health/dental care. Thanks directly to George Bush, Rep. Walden (R) and Senator SMith (R), in Oregon, we have FREE CLINICS in areas which have NEVER had local medical providers. THanks to our friends the Republicans, poor people across the country, in little places socialists and liberal elitists like to pretend don't exist..or worse, don't matter, can get flu shots, fillings, emergency medical treatment (including life flight) as well as preventative treatment, check ups, and treatment for chronic conditions...without having to travel hundreds of miles, which is impossible for many and overwhelming for all. Thanks to these clinics, we can now have assisted living centers in our rural areas...so our elderly people do not have to be shipped out of the areas where they have spent their entire lives and where their families live in order to receive increased care.

So the next time some asshole says that it's the Republicans who don't want to take care of the needy, the poor, and the sick, bitch slap that piece of shit and remind him of the policies that his party fought and Bush pushed through to make sure the poorest of the poor (and they aren't in the inner city folks) get health care.

Dental van is in my town this week. They are seeing scores of children, free of charge. One child in my son's head start class had 8 cavities which would not have been treated if this van didn't come through. THanks George Bush and good Republicans everywhere for taking care of the poor.

I'd be interested in having you give us a tangible example of one of Obama's "socialist ideals".

It is sort of ironic that all those who whine about all the personal freedoms they lost under Bush are demanding to be regulated by the government. I guess big daddy is going to come in and order everyone to be fair. Maybe some people need to see what that really means.

Some of the most leftist publications in America have expressed concern about Obama's relationship with Chicago School Ideology. Think about the 180 Clinton did on his economic policy. He promised to revise NAFTA and implement social spending but Rick Rubin of Goldman-Sachs help convince him to embrace austerity, thus entrenching the neo-liberal economic policies implemented by Ronald Reagan. This is serious shit and something you guys are missing.

Yeah. Like the rich single mothers who get earned income and child care credits on their taxes...meaning someone who works at 185 percent of the poverty level and pays pretty much $0 in taxes receives approximately $7000 as a tax return in the spring.

Or the rich like the kid in my son's head start class who is getting his 8 fillings free of charge today.
