You know, you're bringing up a concept that scared the crap out of movie goers as well as the media back in the early 80's.......
Remember a movie called The Warriors?

Yup go ahead start arresting Republicans for no other reason then they are Republicans and lets see how the "white" guys just roll over and play dead.
So, here's the scene...the Department of Justice make formal charges against Bush II and members of his staff for whatever...
Now... how exactly how do you think this revolution of normally law abiding White middle class men is going to blossom into a revolution against the State?
Seriously...how many of these guys, most of whom have jobs and families and plenty to lose, are going to become a revolutionary movement?
It takes a LOT to get people to do something drastic that might cost them everything.
OTOH, guys who have next to nothing and who are already used to committing crimes and going to jail and who have nothing to lose?
That's where you'll find people likely to become violent revolutionaries, I suspect. At least that where you'll find the early adapters, I suspect.
And they're not likely to be welcomed in your Angry White Republican gun owners' revolution, now are they?
Just my theoretical opinion, of course.
You may already be involved in some clandestine revolutionary group of angry White men for all I know.
Good luck with that if you are because the probability that the government hasn't inflitrated such an organization is like zero point shit, I suspect.
hell, i hope they make it part of the campaignYou are aware that right up to the moment shooting started the Colonies had no real desire to leave English rule? All the vast Majority wanted was the proper rights and treatment of a citizen. Even at the height of the revolution less than a third of the populace actually were on the side of revolution and at times as much as a third were against it.
Arrest Bush and Cheney for no reason and see where it leads. It will open the eyes of a LOT of people. And it will create the environment to organize. Bush getting arrested for no other reason then politics will send a clear message to a lot of people that THEY are in danger and could be next.
If Gore had stolen the election in 2000 we probably would have seen action taken as well.
um, do you realize that story was from Feb 24th 2008?Karl Rove will go to prison for engineering the bogus conviction of the popular Alabama governor on bribery charges. 52 former attorneys general of BOTH parties signed a petition to the federal court to get the governor out of prison.
Did Ex-Alabama Governor Get A Raw Deal?, 60 Minutes Reports On Bribery Conviction Of Don Siegelman In A Case Criticized by Democrats And Republicans - CBS News
REALLY???Editec makes the most sense here.
People will not be revolting over Bush being brought up on charges for the simple fact that whether they agree with it or not, they simply won't care enough.
You spend a lifetime establishing a career and a lifestyle for yourself and your family, and it takes quite a lot of courage and desire to risk it all over some political dispute involving what is already an extremely unpopular presidential administration.
If what RGS says is true, the liberals who are already constantly accused of unnecessary and even violent protest, would have revolted over the blowjob impeachment...which let's face it, was nothing more than politics.
I'm just not quite sure how Bush/Cheney being brought up on charges would somehow register differently in people's minds.
You're left of me so you're a lib as far as I'm concerned. Now go suck on Obama's balls.
Physical threats?
if you really support that happening, contact the Obama campaign and ask them to make this a main issueIf you'll notice the article says charges could be brought against the Bush ADMINISTRATION, but not against Bush himself.
This country has a long and sacred tradition of peaceful secession of power. Without it democracy can't work. Persuing criminal charges against former Presidents violates that principle. This is ultimately why Ford had to 'pardon' Nixon.
If criminal charges were brought against former Presidents, it wouldn't be long before a President took the office for life. (Not very hard to do).
A few Bush Administration Peons may get hung, and if any charges were to be brought against Bush himself, they would be wimpy, watered down charges that would be more symbolic than punative.
That depends. What kind of beer is in your fridge?
send a donation to Obama and attach this request to itListen dude, if you're going to be coming here expecting to be fondled, YOU'RE gonna have to bring the beer. Leave mine alone.
As far as Bush Jr. and Cheney? I hope sincerely that they are both brought up on charges of treason and disloyalty to this country, and put in front of a firing squad.
