Obama doesn't Support "Free Speech" Rights...

He is a muslim. He has a muslim name, and he's admitted he's muslim. You may as well admit that he, and you, are both sympathetic to islam, the violent bastard religion that has killed so many Americans in cold blood, and you are in the same breath militant and combative towards Christians. You people are anti American and anti Christian, and everyone can see it. It's as plain as the nose on your face.

You're sure? I thought Barak was a Jewish name.

I also missed the part where he admitted he was a Muslim.

Sure is funny how O's comments on the pastor's rights to burn the koran were "implied" but on August 14, O had this to say about the mosque and their rights:

"Let me be clear. As a citizen, and as President, I believe that Muslims have the same right to practice their religion as everyone else in this country," he said to applause at the White House. "And that includes the right to build a place of worship and a community center on private property in Lower Manhattan, in accordance with local laws and ordinances."

And.....?

Notice the emphasis on right, not just what I hi-lited but what O said. But there is a difference in what O said about the mosque building and what we're supposed to imply or read between the lines about the pastor's rights from his speech.

Just answering your And?

Still don't understand what point you are trying to make. Sorry.

Requesting the guy call of the "stunt" isn't exactly protecting his right to free speech.

Telling him his constitutional right would be destructive" and a "recruitment bonanza for al-Qaida." isn't what I would call defending the man's rights.

The fact that I'm having to explain this to you indicates that you are not capable of thinking for yourself.

why is obama required to *defend* something which isn't threatened?

i mean, besides to prove he's not a muslim?

I guess Pale Rider isn't going out of his way to support freedom of religion...that means he's against it....;)

He should defend all Americans constitutional rights as long as those rights are not infringing on anyone else's rights.

Asking the guy to call off his plans because he deems it contrary to our values is utter bullshit. If we don't value our freedoms then what do we value?

We value morality, we value intelligence, we value wisdom, etc.

And we value freedoms.

I am able to walk and chew gum at the same time. Are you?

In a free nation you can value whatever you choose.

what part of *asking* don't you understand?

i don't like obama; i didn't vote for him, i don't support his policies and i think he's as much of an empty suit as his predecessor was, but at least he came out and said what needed to be said: both about the fuckwits that want to build the mosque and this fuckwit pastor in florida.

you alleged *conservatives* crack me up-goldwater wouldn't have pissed on you if you were fully involved in flames.

Yes just like he asked Imam Rauf to reconsider building the proposed mosque near ground zero. Oh that's right he didn't ask the Imam that.

You are correct, that this idiotic Jones has a RIGHT to do this. I do not believe anything that Obama said infringed on that right.

He damn sure wasn't protecting his right. Now was he?

The President did not say he would try and stop him he simply ASK him not to do it.

And why did he ask the man to forego his constitutional right? Was it becasue of the overwhelming disapproval? If so then why didn' the ask the ground zero mosque idiots to simply find an alternate location? Was it not recieving overwhelming disapproval as well?

Socialists/Progressives do support Free Speech...But only sometimes. When it's convenient for them, the Socialists/Progressives fully support Free Speech. That's the thing with Free Speech,it's not always convenient to support it and our Founding Fathers understood this. This President is for Free Speech one week but then against Free Speech the next. It's just a matter of convenience for him.

while barak (lightning) is indeed jewish, barack (blessed) is not. the jewish equivalent would be baruch.
barack is arabic and swahili, swahili being a mixture of many tribal languages and colonial languages.

sayansi e.g. means science.
shule/skuli = schule/school

Apparently, this all about what the President didn't do or say. :doubt:

If you are Obama, it is a crime to ask now. :doubt: Or at least worth a few pages of WHINING.

I fail to see why being a Liberal means you should have some blanket support for any exercise of free speech.
Ummm...it's kind of implied in the name. Liberals are supposed to support individual liberty.

They used to, at any rate. Now...not so much.

Ok, I'll bite...what individual liberty don't I support?
If you support liberalism, you support greater government control over individual lives. Do you want to try to make the case that that's advocating freedom?

It reads to me that Obama was exercising his own rights of free speech to express his opinion of someone's own choice of expression. As long as he's not trying to get the government to stop the exercise of free speech, I really don't see a problem with what he said in this case.

What is that greater government control over individual lives I support. Please give examples, daveman.
