NY23 - Election Miracle?

Gingrich and his gang just tried some old school politics on this one. Old school Republicans like Newt Gingrich truly believe in that old "Any Republican is better than a Democrat" theory. The truth is that this woman was not better than the Democrat. The old school Republicans have to stop pushing that flawed theory on everyone. That kind of flawed mentality just gives you more frauds like Arlen Specter and Lindsey Graham. It's going to be hard but the Republicans need to change. The people just aren't buying Gingrich's old school stuff anymore. "Any Republican is better than a Democrat" just isn't always true. More people need to start considering themselves Independents. Stop voting for a candidate based solely on whether they have a (D) or an (R) by their name. Just do some real research and find out where the candidate stands on issues you care about. Basically just think for yourself and you will be ok. I'm definitely rooting for Mr. Hoffman. Go get em!

Newt needs a diversion. Maybe he could help Biden out at the Home Depot.

Gingrich gives an admission that "the age of party leaders picking people is over."

It would appear he has come away with the knowledge that there is a new era within the Republican Party - led in great part by Sarah Palin, calling it "an entire movement."

On Saturday, Mr. Gingrich released a statement throwing his support to Mr. Hoffman.

"The age of party leaders picking people is over," Mr. Gingrich said...

This was not an isolated amateur; this is an entire movement." Mr. Gingrich said.

He flipped, I'm impressed, yet it is a flip. From Your Link. Newt has the ability of Great Effect which can as easily hurt as help, just be aware of Him. Do you know His position on One World Government, On Environmental Treaties, on Energy? Is He more Populist or Solution Driven? Does He lead the Charge, or Take charge, when it seems safer to do so?

In a move that perplexed many of his conservative supporters, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich had endorsed Mrs. Scozzafava, arguing that conservatives had to win seats by electing Republicans to Congress as a first requisite to conservatives winning power and being able to stop the liberal juggernaut led by President Obama and the Democratic Senate and House majorities in Congress.

I hope so. I know i'm rooting for him. The Republican Party really is a huge disappointment at this point. How can they keep putting frauds like Arlen Specter and Lindsey Graham in powerful leadership positions? They're a rudderless ship at this point. It's time to clean house. Get rid of all the phony Neo-Con types and bring more real Conservatives into the Party. Newt Gingrich is a brilliant man but i just don't understand how he can support Scozzafava. The last thing the Republican Party needs is more phony wishy-washy types. So go get em Mr. Hoffman! Good luck!

Arlen Specter is a Democrat!! A Blue dog Democrat!! His position in the Republican party is non-existant. But then, so is the Power structure of the Republican Party!!

Go conservative Party. Show us Non-conservatives how to do it!!

Newt is throwing in the towel and buying at the top. Not uncommon. His original instincts will be proven correct.

But wait--did not Gingrich pick Hoffman after he realized his first pick was going down in flames?

Nice to see all the neocons rallying around Hoffman now. Their own neocon in Conservative clothing. A Conservative in name only.

So want to encourage Republicans that spend like Democrats in Congress because?

It gives you something to bitch about?

The interest you have in Republican Politics is so.... Touching.:lol::lol::lol::lol:

Corzine is looking shakier now as well - Obama may in fact prove an even greater detriment to Corzine than anticipated...

Obama and Marxism, or Hutchison. Anythin is better than someone who will support Obama.

Newt is everything that is wrong with politics. Newt never did nothing for me nor my country, just a big blowhard. Yep, him and Steele are Republicans so lets kick em both out and all that support them.

Its too bad that real democrats have not realized the democrat party has been taken over by the Marxist.

The Democrat/Marxist party, thats right, to be a Democrat is to be a Marxist. Wake up, all you fools, on both sides, Dems and Repubics fighting all the time blaming either side, you idiots are played against one another while life long political hacks become the richest most powerful people on earth.

If either side think they have an answer than your fools.

Congress has been killing us while using the president as the scapegoat.

Maybe there are no politicians worth supporting.

We are fucked

It's about he came to his sense's, people are sick and tired of politics as usual running up our national debt, bankrupting future generations, it's got to stop and we can thank Palin, and the tea partiers for doing this.

Maybe you haven't heard but that was sarcasm.

Corzine is looking shakier now as well - Obama may in fact prove an even greater detriment to Corzine than anticipated...

This is the race to watch, with 70% of that state registered Democrats. Obama is awfully worried about this race, is out there again this weekend stumping for Corzine, as if he did not have anything more important to take care of. If Christy wins, it will slam the breaks on that agenda of his on healthcare, cap and tax and lame duck him even before the 2010 elections. The dems will ditch him just as fast as they can in the senate and the house.

But you can't blame the citizens of New Jersey for doing so, Corzine has raised taxes out there to the tune of 9.8 billion dollars. Taxes are so high out there that people can not afford to live in that state and they are leaving in droves. I have heard that they are taxed between federal taxes and state taxes as high as 65%- 70% of their incomes.

If Corzine wins, it will tell me that democrats don't mind paying outrageous taxes and if he loses, well then, they have finally wised up.

Time will tell that your assessment is totally and completely wrong.

Agreed.

The Bue dogs are already scared to death a Corzine loss would put enough fear in their hearts of having to earn an honest dollar again that Pelosi et al won't be able to come up with enough of a bribe to keep them on the reservation.

It should also suffice to utterly slam the door on the equally ill founded and rapacious senate version.
