It's bad enough that he is such a terrible shot with a bow that he only wounds a bear enough to probably suffer a slow death, then the coward with a gun puts himself above the law and kills another bear with a gun this time for his TV show. What a worthless cowardly POS!

Ted Nugent Pleads Guilty In Illegal Bear Kill | News @ Ultimate-Guitar.Com

Ted Nugent has agreed to plead guilty to transporting a black bear he illegally killed in southeast Alaska.

USA Today reports Nugent made the admission in signing a plea agreement with federal prosecutors that was filed Friday in U.S. District Court.

The plea agreement says Ted illegally shot and killed the bear in May 2009 on Sukkwan Island days after wounding a bear in a bow hunt, which counted toward a state seasonal limit of one bear.

In the hunt, Nugent used a number of bear-baiting sites on U.S. Forest Service property.

The document says Nugent knowingly possessed and transported the bear in misdemeanor violation of the federal Lacey Act.

Nugent, identified in the agreement as Theodore A. Nugent, agreed to pay a $10,000 fine, according to the agreement, which says he also agreed with a two-year probation, including a special condition that he not hunt or fish in Alaska or Forest Service properties for one year. He also agreed to create a public service announcement that would be broadcast on his show every second week for one year, the document states.

This isn’t the first time Ted has broken the law with illegal hunting practices: in 2010, Nugent plead no contest to misdemeanor charges of illegal deer baiting and failing to have a properly signed hunting tag while on a 2009 hunt in Northern California. Ted paid a $1,750 fine for the incident, which was part of the filming of his Outdoor Television series.

People are cited in Alaska all the time for different hunting incidents..

BUT for some reason this is BIG FRIGGEN NEWS.

And from some site called..Ultimate Guitar?

Hunting laws are violated in many states also, not a serious offense but it does show Nugent loves to KILL. He just doesn't want a fair fight, thus he avoided service. He has had other hunting violations, he just likes killing animals, legally or not:

Ted Nugent Charged for Baiting Deer in California | See Pic

In September 2009, Nugent embarked on a hunt near Somerset, El Dorado County, California. He was accompanied by a guide and a cameraman, filming for his Outdoor Channel show "Spirit of the Wild." The video taken appeared in an episode of the show first broadcast on February 9, 2010. California Fish and Game wardens who watched the broadcast noticed that it showed Nugent killing a very young buck which had been attracted by commercial bait. Both the killing of such a young deer and the use of bait are crimes under California state law. On August 13, 2010, he pled no contest in Yuba County to two misdemeanors: illegally baiting a deer, and failing to have a deer tag signed by a government official after a kill. He was fined USD $1,750 by the court and is banned from hunting in California until June 2012. In April 2012 Nugent signed a plea bargaining agreement to plead guilty to two misdemeanors for illegally taking a bear after shooting one earlier at a bait station. He will be fined $10,000, banned from hunting in Alaska and on Federal land for one year and must complete two years on federal probation.[41]

There are some things I like about Ted, can't say I really follow him a lot, but this hunting thing does suck..But like I said, people are cited all the time for hunting violations. He will now pay for it.

Is this why he hates the United States Government? Because they won't let him kill more than his fair share of bears? Why does he think he is entitled?

Ok dear, get all worked up over it..I have bigger things to worry about..
good night

Big deal. Nugent wounded a bear and then "legally" killed another bear. The fish/game people cited a law that says you can't take a bear after you wounded one. They charged him with a misdemeanor for taking the second bear off federal property. Did Barry Hussein violate any laws when he developed a taste for puppies?

No, the pussy ILLEGALLY killed another bear!!!

I know CON$ervoFascists believe laws are only for the little people so everything they do is "legal," but if it was legal the :asshole: would not have pled GUILTY!!!!

Sounds to me like a guy that admits mistakes and pays for them.

Would you rather he'd fought it, tied up the court by forcing them to prove their case, only to be set free thanks to big-money lawyers?

Should he have shot the second bear? No. Did he fuck up? Yes. Is he paying for his mistake? Yes. Is he doing community service (psas)? Yes. Will he stay out of hunting in Alaska for the assigned time period? Yes.

How is this a problem again?

He fought it for three years before he finally copped a plea.

Damn CON$erviNutzis are thick!!! :cuckoo:

Not making excuses because it looks like he's been wrapped up with other violations to contend with in the meantime
:D

I like his music.
He's an entertainer.
