Yep, for a while I couldn't get any ammo - shelves were bare. About the only thing that was available was shotgun shells. Even .22 ammo was rare as hen's teeth. Thanks to the whistle blower about fast and the furious we would have never heard about it.
All we would have heard about was an increasingly number of gun from America going into Mexico killing a lot of Mexicans and the outcry from the left and president that we must ban guns to help with the problem in Mexico.
