These riots are just the latest thing. There are hundreds if not thousands of videos strewn across the internet of these assholes looting, burning, destroying, and murdering.... and there are 10s of millions of people out there who believe these are "peaceful protesters" simply because CNN told them so. It's utterly mind-boggling.

Yep...same reason I cancelled the local newspaper i'd been getting for forty years.
The only thing worth reading was the comics and the sports section.
And now the sports section is worthless as well.

I haven't received a newspaper in 20 years. I didn't know what to do with all those piles of newsprint.

Anyone else notice how in Hollywood they need to be PC about everything?
There was a Japanese movie "Shall We Dance" and it was a very classy movie about a married man attracted to his ballroom dance instructor, and was very conflicted. It was a very classy well done movie.
Then Hollywood made their version and it had all the various races and social preferences represented and was turned into a shitty comedy.

About a decade ago I dubbed the democrat controlled press "the little Goebbels". I still use the phrase and it is appropriate. In reality our garbage media is FAR worse than Joseph Goebbels ever was and now we know that Communist China is actually controlling both the press and the democrat party. (And Hollywood, and academia, and big tech)

Even so, Goebbels is illustrative of the techniques used by the party propaganda outlets. It isn't that nothing CNN spews is ever true, in any given story probably 25% is true. Effective propaganda is based not on lies, but narrative. Everything the Beijing controlled NY Times prints is carefully crafted to further a narrative the democrat party and their CCP masters want expressed. Fact is mixed with fiction to provide a ring of credibility.

2. Last year I canceled my Los Angeles Times subscription because even its headlines were becoming mini-Anti-Trump editorials.

3. I only watch FOX for a few minutes in the morning while eating my breakfast. (I have never, never, never watched CNN or MSNBC since the inauguration,)

4. I watch a few minutes of local TV news for the weather and for the latest orders from our mayor and governor regarding COVID-19 lockdowns.

5. I listen to the radio news at the top of the hour. Because it's less than 5 minutes in length, radio news tends to be a little more objective.

6. All in all, I am happier watching reruns of "Friends" than watching or reading the fake news.

I got rid of cable a couple of years ago mostly because I never watch it. That saves me about $150/mo. I still have Netflix and youTube, however.
