No One Wants Used EVs, Making New Ones a Tougher Sell Too

And if you catch Lucky the Leprechaun, he'll give you his pot of gold!

In order for solar and wind to replace the electricity generated now, all those wind fans and solar panels need millions of acres, and the only places where even that can generate close to the power needed are far away from most users, and the transmission costs alone will eat up far more than any imaginary 'savings' claimed. Even with nuclear, transmission costs make up 75-80% of the expenses, and those are located close to the major markets for their production. Multiply those costs by 3-8 times for transmitting solar from the middle of the country to say NYC.

What kind of stuff are you going to grow underneath solar panels covering many millions of acres?

Bub, every 9 to 10 years ALL the batteries have to be replaced...all over the world. Another Ponzi scheme. Everything in our world is a Ponzi scheme...even America itself.

An article discussing several factors affecting EV sales

Personally, when EVs sport batteries that charge in ten minutes with a 900 mile range, which apparently will soon be the case, gasoline vehicles will die a rapid death.

Wind turbines do not need millions of acres. Northern Indiana, for instance, is covered with them with virtually NO impact on the crops that surround them. Off shore wind facilities will support the large coastal population centers. And I have no problem whatsoever with nuclear and I expect the first commercial fusion systems to be coming online within a decade. Solar has greater feasability restraints but the US population has been moving south for a long time and it is NOT a problem to colocate solar farms near population centers there.

I think eventually fusion will replace all other power technology.

In a recent thread, he was excited about a car that was covered in a material
that would generate enough electricity from sunlight to power the car. No need for external
charging.

He has also claimed that borax can be used to power a car.

He's big on "green" claims, not as big on reality.

Indeed. Batteries that last 3 years and cost $30,000 to replace will be awesome!

For some reason these tards think the U.S. is the only polluter or something. They should look up who is still building a lot more coal fired plants, making all their efforts here in the U.S. utterly meaningless.

They are not meaningless. You simply hate foreigners and choose to try to use them as an excuse to stop working on the problem.
