I don't know... wouldn't it be nice to be able to READ some of what obama wrote in college? Or maybe see his college transcripts. Too bad we won't if he has his way though. He's had all that hidden, along with his birth certificate. Wonder why...

Oh and for what it's worth in Amerca these days all too frequently one's opinion of another's intellectual capabilities is often formed not upon any actual testable standards but upon how closely their opinions mirror one's own.

I did a search and there are some great debates between D'Souza and Hitchens over "mysticism". I'm still watching them.

Funny that they try to use the same argument, but it succeeds for one and not the other.

Hichens points out that religious violence is motivated by "religion" and even refers to 9/11 as a "faith based initiative".

S'Souza fails to make the same case with atheism. Now, if atheism were a religion, then such a case could certainly be made, however, there is no connection between those that have a lack of mystical beliefs. There is nothing to connect. The argument is like, "the lack of evidence is proof".

Now, I certainly don't agree with Hitchens on many levels. For one, I think invading Iraq was an enormous disaster, a view shared by Pat Buchanan, a man we know has mystical beliefs. However, Hitchens believes it was a very good thing. Go figure.

I couldn't find any evidence that Obama received Affirmative Action. Not saying he didn't, just couldn't find proof that he did.

Also, for the Harvard Law review, papers are submitted and chosen by panel. No names are attached so they don't even know if it were written by a man or woman.

Clarence Thomas and Sonya Sotomayor both benefited from Affirmative Action.

Both George Bush and John McCain benefited from Affirmative Action. Neither had grades good enough to get into Harvard or the Naval Academy. In both cases, Daddy called in favors and the "boys" were jumped over thousands more qualified. Bush graduated with a below average GPA and McCain 5th from the bottom out of 899 cadets. It wouldn't surprise me if Daddy had to call several times to keep the "kids" in those institutions, especially for McCain. 5th from the bottom out of 899? That's like in the top 99.55percentile. Another example of Republican excellence. And they question Obama? Seriously? Ha ha ha ha ho ho ho tee hee.

When people keep bringing up Affirmative Action and Obama, they are desperately trying to make a connection.

Obama graduated "magna cum laude". More than half his class graduated "cum laude", but when you graduate "magna cum laude", it means that you are very near the top of your class.

I haven't seen any evidence that he was "at the top", but the evidence exists that he was very near the top.

I used to make fun of lawyers back in the day. But then I entered the world of professional financial services and realized I had no right whatsoever to make fun of anyone else's profession. You can say what you want about the lawyers but at least they didn't bring the world to the brink of collapse.
