No government required

So what? Trump ran against Hillary and Jones ran against a child molester. What’s your point?
Soulless Romney and spineless McCain were/are just career politicians just like Obama, corrupt to the core...
I ask again what’s your point and how is it relevant to the conversation?
Like I said all career politicians are the same… Or are you too stupid to realize that
No two people are the same but that’s a different discussion. My question is what this has to do with the conversation or are you just trying to drop out random thoughts.

Bees make honey. Fact
All career politicians have one agenda, themselves... That makes them all the same
So what?

So what?
Career politicians are useless to the country but vital to the deep state

Again I’ll ask, so what? You are arguing against yourself and what you are saying has nothing to do with this conversation. Care to connect the dots or kindly piss off?

Are you that dense?
We don’t need the collective that is socialism

We don’t need the collective that is socialism
The collective isn’t socialism, get a dictionary. Socialism is redistribution via government control. Democracy is rule by majority vote. We have a Republic. Do you need me to explain that to you as well? Again, we are off topic. Why can’t you follow a discussion?

We have no real freedom in this country because of socialism

Again, so what? Another off topic statement. Do you tarrets or something?

What don’t i get?
That you are not a “victim” to corporations. That they have zero control over you.
Really? Tell that to the medical industry and the small business owners who had to shut their doors because they couldn’t compete with the large corporations. Don’t get me started
And....how....exactly does that make you a “victim”? :eusa_doh:

That’s called the free market. If the small business “couldn’t compete” it’s because they were incompetent. At one time, Facebook was a small business. Built by a child in a dorm room. At one time, Apple was a small business. Built out of a garage.

Literally the only time we see small businesses actually unable to compete is when government makes taxes, regulations, etc. that they simply cannot afford.
I’m not saying I’m a “victim” I’m saying there is tremendous opportunity in an unregulated free market for big corporate entities to abuse their power. Do you really not believe that?
Actually, they have no such power. All they can do is bribe politicians to paa laws that make it difficult for the competition.

If what you say is true then a true conservative should have wiped the floor with a law breaking anti American socialist.
Why? The U.S. is has millions of anti-American socialists. New York City is filled with them. As is California and Illinois. Just look at them here on USMB.

That’s not true at all, Slade. Not even a little. You can have pure socialism via a Republic. People can (and have) voted for socialism - just ask Venezuela.

The left hates this undeniable reality - but here is yet another example that the government is not needed for anything outside of the 18 specific enumerated powers the states delegate to them.
In July, Microsoft announced a “Rural Airband Initiative” to invest in partnerships with telecommunications companies to bring broadband connectivity to 2 million more people in rural America by 2022.
Business will always build the infrastructure necessary (and more efficiently and at a lower cost) because it will ultimately end in more sales or lower cost for them.

Microsoft’s Plan to Expand Broadband Would Benefit Rural Americans

Ever heard of GPS? Hate to tell you, but it was developed by the government, and the government is also the ones that put in the infrastructure for it to be useful.

Incidentally, there was talk about not allowing civilians to use GPS, but then they changed their mind and released it to civilian companies.

Sorry.............but there are several examples where the government has developed things well ahead of civilian businesses.

Another one of them is the computer.
Actually, it was originally started by physicists William Guier and George Weiffenbach, who were trying to track Sputnik. They discovered that they could track its movements, then they were asked to reverse that system to track movements on earth. The result was TRANSIT, which went through several stages and eventually led to the creation of the GPS. Of course, what the government used these two people to create wasn't the GPS we know now, that wasn't created until it was released to the Private Sector.

The computer we know today is a result of the private sector.

They have the power to influence the products that hit our market including their quality, pricing and accessibility, as well as labor conditions, environmental impact all of which has an effect on the general public

Then I guess your outnumbered. If you have better solutions then do a better job marketing those solutions to grow support. The way you talk doesn’t exactly inspire open minded enlightenment but moreso combative division.

I agree, the USA isn’t a socialist country and it never will be. We have socialistic elements in our republic but will never become a socialist country, contrary to how many on this board portray it

Not out-numbered, people are stupid, but not quite that many are that stupid. The failure of an ideal is merely supported by the Establishment.

How do you figure? If we are “outnumbered” then why do conservatives control the House, the Senate, the White House, and 33 of the 50 states?

And you still haven’t answered my previous question. The American people have spoken. They elected President Trump. Why aren’t you supporting everything he says and does?

I hope you’re right. Now we just need to eliminate the idiotic “socialist elements” that you refer to.

I support some things Trump does and I don’t support others. I never said that everybody has to support everything that an elected official wants to do.

Conservatives aren’t outnumbered right now, the Right has won many of the recent elections and they are in the drivers seat. We were talking about Obama’s election and back then the Left was elected and had control. It’s the nature of our politics. It’s a pendulum of power

You can fight that fight if you want but it’s isnt realistic. Best thing to do if you really want to be in the game is figure out the best ways to improve on what we already have. In some cases cuts make sense. In others better management, staffing, funding or more efficient systems can go a long way.

We were talking about Obama’s election and back then the Left was elected and had control.
Correct. And then the American people sent conservatives in droves across the nation in the 2010 midterms to stop the destructive agenda of Obama and the Dumbocrats.

The view you people have that everyone should bow to whoever is in power is extremely dangerous. I don’t expect Dumbocrats to cater to President Trump. Their constituents voted for them to implement the left-wing agenda. Not to facilitate Trump’s agenda. If that results in gridlock - so be it. The federal government has no constitutional authority to be doing 98% of the shit they are voting on anyway - so gridlock is simply protecting us all.
