Like him or hate him the man has a great mind, he's well knowledgible, and he has accomplished some pretty amazing political victories that no one expected. Not to mention he was instrumental at balancing the budget in the 90s.

Not sure I'm going to seriously consider him. But the man has accomplish quite a lot for this country as a leader despite personal flaws.

The Georgia Republican announced via Twitter that he is formally seeking the 2012 GOP presidential nomination.

That ought to bring a little excitment to the GOP 2012 landscape.. I think him and Mitt in a debate will be interesting.

The only one to do so in atleast half a century. Maybe even a whole century. I already pointed that out. But that's not an accomplishment in your book?

You seriously going to deny that he is intelligent? Why? Because his politics disagree with him? Because you don't like the man. I'm not sure how much I like the man but there is no denying he is smart and can get things done. Perfect? Heck no.

I have a weird feeling most women would have a rough time voting for Newt. I don't know,,just call it a hunch.
On the upside, Newt did show he could work in a bi-partisan manner or was it Clinton that did that? All I can say is that whatever happened, the Welfare Reform legislation was damn near perfect. We need to go back and do it again.
